64. Walk-of-shame and a prideful Prince

Later that day, Flynn stepped out of Beatrice's house, wrapping his arms around himself. He had this strange feeling in his chest which was something he couldn't comprehend. It wasn't regret, not exactly. It felt... new.

He glanced down, hoping no one would notice his messy hair, flushed cheeks, or the unmistakable mixture of exhaustion and exhilaration in his eyes.

Just then, familiar voices reached him from only a few meters away.

He wanted to run, but he was too tired for that. Instead, he stopped and waited for them to catch up.

"Oh no!" Sharia exclaimed as soon as she spotted Flynn.

"What's wrong?" Athena asked.

"There's no mistaking it. The master's having the infamous walk-of-shame."

They caught up to him, greeting him, but Flynn just scratched his head and avoided eye contact.
