Security Is Coming

'Yes, she is actually starting work on Monday.' Olivia added. She knew that she had hit her on the nail. For the first time, she felt motivated. Auntie Freya's body was experiencing mixed emotions, she became even more stiff, rattled, gathered her courage back, but still feeling defeated, 'Don't be pathetic girl. Am I that stupid? Do you think it's that easy to get employed at OxyamCorp? Because even maintenance staff needs to have good qualifications.' She expressed her inner thoughts.

She gave her a strong, fierce look. It meant stop lying. Olivia, however, did not look shaken, it was her moment to be on top, no change in her demeanor. 'I am telling you the truth. Have I ever lied to you?' Auntie Freya leaned back on her sofa, her chin rested on her palm. Second thoughts crept in, 'Are you serious?'

She knew one thing about Olivia, that she was not a liar. And would never lie about something that big. Olivia first nodded her head, 'Absolutely positive.' Auntie Freya shook her head, lost in thoughts. 'This can't be, this is unbelievable?' Olivia enjoyed every single moment of this step, at least she won against Auntie Freya for the first time, and maybe she would change her point of view toward Shanazer. 'You better believe it, Auntie!' Exclaimed Olivia, but Auntie Freya had not yet given up. She was still searching from every possible angle, perspective to turn things her way. 'You see, your friend's life will never be the same if she is good at what she does. What did she study? Or has she been hired as a general cleaner?' Olivia chuckled, in amazement at how Auntie Freya couldn't concede defeat. You are a tough woman, aren't you? Thought Olivia, 'She is studying Information Technology and electronics engineering.' Explained Olivia, Auntie Freya's mind was almost exploding prior to Olivia's statement.

'Oh my gosh!' Gasped Auntie Freya, 'she smells wealth, you will never be on the same level. How old is she?'

At the back of her mind, Auntie Freya wished it was Olivia in this boat and their family would have continued thriving, and she would live a luxurious life she always dreamed of. This could have been life-changing for their family. Olivia was not in a hurry to respond, she could read Auntie Freya's mind, cooking something up, 'Twenty one.' Answered Olivia, her face beamed with joy.

Auntie Freya now wanted to know Shanazer, she actually wanted her to be part of her family. 'Only the sky is the limit for her. I have heard some gossip that there are a lot of projects that OxyamCorp is working on. One of them is to create a spacecraft that would go out of earth in orbit in search of other planets with water and oxygen. If the project succeeds, we might be saved from this oxygen crisis.' Commented Auntie Freya, pausing for a while before picking up, 'I am praying for them to succeed. I want to see my grandchildren grow, lead them on the right path.'

Olivia's father works for the military on another continent, he so badly wanted Olivia to study accounts and join the military. Olivia's dream was to become a great painter. She never had a proper education in that line, so she ended up doing different jobs in order to finance herself since her father did not. That's the thing that brought both Olivia and Shanazer together, who is also a fan of painting and an artist too. 'You see, Auntie Frey, I am not that stupid. I will not just be dragged into a job that I don't have any slight interest in. I will find my own way to survive.' Olivia expressed her ambition.

Auntie Freya reasoned over Olivia's words. She knew she had a point there, but life was just something else today. 'Do it soon girl and try to live your best life possible.' Advised Auntie Freya.

A strong male voice came from the entrance, 'Auntie Frey! I am home!' It was Vincent announcing his arrival. Auntie Freya had something different prepared for him. Probably scorning. 'Vincent, where have you been? You children want to kill me from high blood pressure?' asked Auntie Freya.

She changed so suddenly from being so calm and gentle to being absolutely angry. Olivia laughed from the inside and thought her Auntie must have been an actress, some time back or in her previous life. Vincent was well composed, he was in a good mood, and nobody could change it today. 'Chill Auntie, the world has changed, people move and work in the night, no one wants to get scorched by the sun during the day. I thought you would know that by now, it's only at OxyamCorp where people work during the day.' OxyamCorp was on people's minds today. Auntie Freya could not pass up the opportunity to comment on Shanazer's achievement.

'Speaking of which, your sister told me that Shanaz is now an employee of OxyamCorp?' Said Auntie Freya, her doubt still evident, and paid a lot of attention to what could be Vincent's reaction to the news, who glanced at Olivia for obvious confirmation.

'Auntie Frey, it's Shanazer.' Corrected Vincent, focusing his gaze at Olivia and continued, 'is that true?'

His attention was fully directed at Olivia, who did not rush but took her time. She smiled, portraying great confidence, 'Have I ever lied?' Olivia posed her own question, looking at her brother who placed his designer shades on the glass table. 'Wow! This is great news, Auntie Frey. We should invite her to come over and celebrate her outstanding achievement. She has suffered so much for a long time, she has been doing great at horizon university. I am really happy for her.' Exclaimed Vincent.

This was, however, something new to Auntie Freya. She needed enlightenment. 'She goes to horizon university? That university is one of the greatest universities we have in the Southern region. How come I did not know about that?' Auntie Freya bit herself and felt offended by her ignorance. Vincent also had to tramp on her right away. 'You never asked, besides, life can be full of surprises.' Vincent commented with a mischievous smile on his face.

Back in Rockna Death Valley, Shanazer has just exhausted all her energy base, after killing the three Gaskan tigers. It's enough for the night, besides it is almost five thirty A M, I need to get home. Thought Shanazer, 'Don't worry, you know you can now walk in the sun without being dehydrated. Your body can withstand the heat. You can not even get a sweat drop.' Synthen notified Shanazer, who responded, 'Thank you, Synthen, for the heads-up. I just don't want people to know about this power. I might put more targets on my back. I desire to enjoy life as a normal person. I do have a dark past I don't have to go to.' Replied Shanazer. 'OK! If you say so, boss!' Stated Synthen.

Shanazer started running home. By the time she had reached there, it was five fifty-five A M. She looked at her watch, it was the same minutes as she captured when going. She picked up her bathing towel, and entered the bathroom. A few minutes later, she was done, applied her body lotion, got her roll on, smeared it on her armpits. Changed her clothes, picked up the perfume and sprayed it on her entire body. I now smell and feel better.

About seven thirty that morning, Shanazer was already in the classroom studying. 'Hello Shana?' Cathy Williams held Shanazer's hair before bashing her head on her front table. And carried on, 'You now have a protector, I bet he won't save you now? Little rascal!'

'Damn, loser, look at her, --- let me help you Cathy, to teach her a lesson?' Suggested Cynthia with a sinister smile.

My goodness, trouble seems to find me wherever I go. Thought Shanazer.

'Cathy? What did I wrong you?' Shanazer inquired politely.

'You are just a lunatic and filthy loser!' Countered Brenda on behalf of Cathy and they laughed hysterically.

'You know guys, I have tolerated your nonsense for too long, but my patience is slowly fading. One day, you won't get away that easily?' Confronted them Shanazer.

'Ha! Is that a threat, Genius?' Riposted Cathy before laughing.

'Did you hear that?' Murmured one in the back of the class.

'What's wrong with her? Did she just threaten Cathy Williams?' Another jumped in.

'Brat!' Brenda roared and thrust a sneak attack at the back of Shanazer, who caught her fist and swiftly hit her in the belly with her elbow.
