The Boss

Logan rode his electric scooter to work under the blazing midday sun.Although it was the height of the afternoon rush hour, the streets were relatively empty. It seemed that some residents, fearing the supernatural, had opted to stay home.

"What good does it do to hide? I was attacked in my own home last night," Logan muttered to himself, understanding the fear but recognizing its futility. This world had become too terrifying, with danger lurking everywhere, impossible to predict or avoid.

Lost in thought, Logan soon arrived at his workplace. He parked his scooter and headed for the building's elevator. After graduating from college, Logan had struggled to find a job in his field. Given his love for fitness, he had submitted his resume to this gym on a whim, not expecting to be hired. But to his surprise, he was. The gym was large and well-equipped, with a professional and capable team of trainers. It was a respectable place.

With the rise of supernatural occurrences, some office workers had stopped going to work, opting to stay home instead. But being cooped up at home was stifling, so many turned to the gym for a bit of relief, finding solace in exercise. As a result, the gym's business was thriving, and Logan, with his good looks and impressive skills, naturally excelled.

After clocking in, Logan made his way into the gym. Several colleagues, who were in the middle of training sessions, waved at him in greeting.

Standing at the front desk was a stunning woman with a killer figure—tall, slim, with curves in all the right places. She wore a sports jacket and yoga pants that accentuated her long legs and peach-shaped hips, making for a captivating sight. This was Evelyn Sanders, the gym's owner. Feeling a bit self-conscious, Logan tried to make a beeline for the locker room, hoping to avoid his boss. It wasn't that he didn't like beautiful women, but Evelyn had a way of teasing him that always left him flustered. She was strong-willed, and Logan found it hard to keep up with her assertiveness.

"Trying to avoid me? Am I that scary?"Evelyn's sultry voice called out behind him, forcing Logan to stop in his tracks. He quickly adjusted his expression and turned around with a sheepish smile.

"No, not at all. I just wanted to get to work as soon as possible after missing the morning," Logan explained, trying to sound enthusiastic.

"Oh, so diligent?"Evelyn's smile was playful, but her eyes showed she wasn't entirely convinced.

Logan couldn't help but notice how dazzling Evelyn looked. Feeling a bit guilty, he nodded, trying to appear earnest.

"Come to my office," Evelyn ordered, her tone leaving no room for refusal. As an employee, Logan had no choice but to comply, following his boss to her office.

Trailing behind Evelyn, Logan accidentally caught a glimpse of her from behind, and the sight nearly made his blood boil. So… so shapely!

Struggling to suppress his rising desire, Logan realized something was off. He had never felt such a strong surge of lust before. If not for his remaining sense of reason, he might have done something reckless."Is this a side effect of the werewolf transformation? It's terrifying!"Logan quickly averted his gaze, staring at the ceiling to avoid being tempted further.

Evelyn, unaware of Logan's inner turmoil, assumed he was just being shy. She found his bashfulness endearing, having brought him on board because she had taken a liking to him.

Once inside her office, Evelyn sat in her boss's chair and motioned for Logan to take a seat as well.

"Tell me, how's your health? Do you need some time off?"Evelyn's tone was surprisingly gentle, showing concern rather than reprimand.

"I'm feeling much better now. It was just a bit of a headache from too much air conditioning," Logan replied, surprised by her understanding. After all, this was the first time in his year of working that he had skipped work without notice.

"With all the supernatural occurrences in the city lately, maybe you should consider staying at the gym. My place is nearby, and it's much safer here," Evelyn suggested, her concern genuine. The gym was located in a bustling commercial area, right across from the police station, which brought a sense of security.

"Thanks for the offer, but where would I stay?"Logan laughed awkwardly, knowing that even the police couldn't handle the supernatural. His own experience had taught him that.

"You could stay upstairs—I have plenty of empty rooms at home…"Evelyn smiled teasingly, playfully suggesting that Logan move in with her.

Not only was Evelyn the gym's owner, but she also owned the entire building. The top floor was her personal residence—this was one wealthy and beautiful woman!Logan was momentarily at a loss for words, finally stammering, "That… doesn't seem appropriate…"

"Hahaha!"Evelyn burst into laughter, clearly amused by Logan's embarrassed reaction. This "little man" was so innocent, it was almost too easy to tease him. Logan's eyes were glued to her as she laughed, her ample bosom shaking with each laugh, mesmerizing him once again. But fearing his desires might take over, he quickly looked away.

"Alright, enough jokes. The tech company on this floor is moving out. They've gone under since the supernatural events began, and I'm converting the space into employee dorms. You could move in and save some money!"Evelyn explained, her tone now serious. The tech company had likely folded because its employees had fled after the supernatural occurrences, leaving the floor vacant.

"Alright… I'll think about it," Logan replied cautiously. With the secret he harbored, he couldn't make any decisions lightly. Moving in might expose his werewolf form, and that was a risk he wasn't ready to take.

Evelyn wasn't too pleased with Logan's hesitant response. She was about to press the issue further when a frantic knock on the office door interrupted them. The front desk receptionist, Lily, was outside, shouting urgently.

"Ms. Sanders, there's trouble!"
