CHAPTER 45

-NEXT DAY-

All of the people enjoyed their party last night and had to spend the night in Jinhyuk's house . Jinhyuk woke up the first at 8 a.m. He woke up with a fuzzy head . He realised that he drunk too much the night before . Jinhyuk freshened up and didn't disturb anyone as he left . Jinhyuk flew up in the sky . He levitated atleast 500 m in the air , he could see all of Seoul from up there .

Today's date was 19th August . He had less than a month before the Radiance Tournament . If he wants to defeat the hunters who held their position as the world's strongest for so long in one tournament then he had to be prepared . Jinhyuk headed towards his guild , he landed on the rooftop as he entered inside . He went straight to his personal training hall .

Jinhyuk entered as he opened his inventory . He wanted to take out his training box out but instead his eyes fell on the corner of the inventory . He had an egg there . Jinhyuk remembered that he got the Black Dragon Egg after Sylus died . He took it out . As soon as Jinhyuk took it out a part of the egg cracked and fell .

Jinhyuk held out his hand and began to pour mana into the egg . As he poured mana , the egg cracked more until it opened up with as the shells fell down . The creature sitting inside wasn't a dragon but a cute , little human girl .

"A girl ?"

"Isn't it a dragon egg ?"

The girl slowly opened her eyes as she looked towards Jinhyuk . She seemed a little confused as she tilted her head to the left . Jinhyuk followed her . Suddenly , the look of confusion was replaced by a look of joy and happiness . She leaped towards Jinhyuk and clinged on his neck . Jinhyuk was surprised by her action as he tried to free himself but then the girl spoke in a little voice .

"Papa!"

This word made Jinhyuk too surprised . He wasn't expecting that to happen . Jinhyuk fred his neck from the girl's grip as Jinhyuk raised her up in the air . The girl seemed very happy as she flashed a closed eye smile towards Jinhyuk and said again

"Papa!"

"Huh !? It really was 'you' who said that earlier ?"

"Papa!"

"Stop calling me that"

Jinhyuk noticed somethings about the girl . First , she had a pair of small wings behind her back . Her eyes were not of an human but it resembled more of a dragon . Jinhyuk finally understood the whole scenario . Sylus was the black dragon with a strong bloodline while Jinhyuk is a human . The two genes mixed when Jinhyuk poured his mana into the egg . The creature that was born as a result was neither a dragon nor a human , it became a draganoid .

Jinhyuk finally realised and brought her down . The soft and pretty voice sounded again . 

"Papa ?"

"So , you are a 'draganoid' ?"

"Hmm…" she tilted her head to right

"I guess you should be given a name"

"….."

"I will name you 'Na-ri' "

She laughed once again which probably meant that she liked the name . Jinhyuk was relieved . He didn't have a good naming sense but atleast it would work .

"Your name will be 'Sung Na-ri' "

The girl lunged on Jinhyuk and wrapped around his head . Jinhyuk stumbled a little backwards from the sudden jump . He could hear the giggles of Na-ri . She was laughing with joy . Jinhyuk placed her on the ground . He looked towards Na-ri and said

"Na-ri , I will now train . Can you wait for me ?"

She nodded her head from up to down which meant she agreed . Jinhyuk patted her head as he took out the training module .

[Ding]

"Activate"

[Ding]

[Changing the surroundings to match Host's powers]

The room changed as it got covered in a black wall . The veins on the training module are visible on the wall . Jinhyuk was standing in the middle .

"Change Location 'Seoul City' "

[Ding]

[Surroundings are changing]

[Creating a replica of 'Seoul City']

[Summon 'Enemy' ?]

"Summon 'Ancient Black Dragon Sylus' "

[Ding]

The Black Dragon was summoned . Jinhyuk realised for the first time the actual size of her . She was like a huge mountain covering almost a part of the big city . Jinhyuk levitated as he clenched his fist .

"Summon weapon 'Dragons's Edge' "

[Ding]

[Summoning weapon 'Dragon's Edge (SS)']

Jinhyuk had his weapon in hand . He didn't waste time as he rushed towards the dragon . She wasn't moving at all as if ignoring Jinhyuk's presence . She slashed her tail as soon as Jinhyuk approached . Jinhyuk was smacked by the tail as he flew away at a distance . He landed on the road as he stabbed his sword on the ground to stop his momentum . The smack was really hard .

Jinhyuk rushed towards it again as she prepared her 'Dragon's Breath' . The blast covered the ground as the Seoul City was covered in a huge crater. If it were real world than the attack would have caused too much casualties . Jinhyuk looked towards her once again as he saw she was preparing for a second attack .

The attack which was released was greater than the last as Jinhyuk raised his hand .

[Ding]

[Skill : HellFlame (EX) activated]

Jinhyuk released his fire attack . It was on the similar level of the dragon . The both attacks struck each other as the fire caused huge devastation . Jinhyuk poured even more mana to the attack . His dragon heart was continously absorbing mana to complete the empty place but the usage was more than the absorbed . Sylus also poured mana into her attack as they both reached the same level once again . Jinhyuk was near his limit as he applied more pressure .

"Come on !!!!!"

[Ding]

[Authority : Divine Yang Heavenly Body (L) activated]

Jinhyuk's firepower received a huge boost as his attack overcame her little by little . The 'Dragon's Breath' shattered as Jinhyuk's fire moved towards her. It seriously wounded her as her left side was completely burned . Jinhyuk descended on the ground . His outfit was burned completely . Jinhyuk was about to look up while cleaning her sweat as he felt a blood lust . It was 'Dragon's Fear' . The skill he gained from Sylus . The dragon's fear was more powerful . Jinhyuk was suppressed .

Jinhyuk looked up towards the dragon as he saw that the dragon was covered in mana . Jinhyuk stood up after much tries as he said

"You are quite tough"

[Ding]

Jinhyuk spread his own dragon's fear as they collided . It was more like a battle between domains instead of bloodlust . Jinhyuk's bloodlust didn't overcome Sylus as she consumed him whole with her skill . Jinhyuk was falling on the ground when he heard the system.

[Ding]

Jinhyuk's conciousness came back at that moment as he got up drenched in sweat . He rubs off the sweat from his head

'Is this what dying feels like ? I don't think I can handle it more than 10 times'

He got out of the cube as he inserted it into his inventory . Na-ri was in the corner of the room doing something even Jinhyuk can't figure out . He went towards her as he crouched beside her and placed a hand on her head . She looked back as she saw him and lunged . Jinhyuk effortlessly caught her and placed her on his shoulders . She was smiling too happily .

The gates of the room opened at that moment and Sumi along with Hyunwoo , Minji and Seol-ah entered . Sumi first looked around the hall as she looked towards Jinhyuk . Then her eyes fell on the child on Jinhyuk's shoulders . This scene shocked everyone present there . Sumi came towards him as she asked

"J-Jinhyuk ? Who is this ?"

"This ? She is Na-ri"

"Y-Yeah , who is she ?"

"W-Well its difficult to explain right …"

"Papa!"

Na-ri's sudden call made them more shocked . She was referring Jinhyuk as her dad . This incident really made them tremble . Jinhyuk just shaked his head . Seol-ah came towards him .

"O-Oppa ? When did you have a daughter ?"

"W-Well , she isn't exactly my daughter"

"Ehhh!?"

"Come to my office . I will explain clearly"

Jinhyuk went out followed by the others who still had a shocked expression on their faces . They all entered Jinhyuk's office as he closed the door . He placed Na-ri on the couch as he sat on his chair behind his work desk . Sumi was the first to open her mouth .

"L-Little b-brother , since when ?"

"You are misunderstanding this whole thing "

"Misunderstanding ?" asked Seol-ah

"Yes"

"Then please 'enlighten' us "

"She isn't my biological daughter . She is a draganoid"

"A-A Dragonoid !?" asked everyone

"Yes , she is the daughter of a black dragon I met with inside the Jeju island . She absorbed some of my mana so she didn't form a complete dragon . Rather , she formed a human with dragon blood and powers ."

This explanation was enough for everyone to understand . They forwarded towards Na-ri . She seemed happy to see them especially Sumi . Sumi picked her up and placed her on her shoulder . Jinhyuk got up from the seat as he went towards the glass panel on his wall . He looked out while the others were looking towards him . Jinhyuk didn't say anything but suddenly he looked towards Sumi .

"Sis , take her away and hide her in our house"

"W-What ? Why ?"

"I have my own suspicions"

Jinhyuk again looked out of the window . His sight was focused on the roof of a building which wasn't far from his guild . There stood a man with two wings and horns on his head . He appearance was of a human but he was polymorphed dragon .

The man disappeared as Jinhyuk looked inside removing his view from the panel . One side of the guild building was covered with glass . The wall was big enough for even others to see out from Jinhyuk's back but they didn't see anything unusual . Jinhyuk turned towards the door but he soon in the blink of an eye created a barrier around the others , at that moment , the man whom Jinhyuk saw on the rooftop entered the room breaking the glass . He attacked towards Na-ri but she was already inside the barrier Jinhyuk created . Jinhyuk and the man were the only ones who were out of the barrier .

"Who are you ?" asked Jinhyuk

"Shut up , human . You saved the traitor of the dragon empire"

"Traitor ?"

"That dragonoid . She is the child of Sylus"

"Indeed . I'm curious to know how you identified her ?"

"When she was born , we sensed a mana coming from the Human World . It was Sylus's mana"

"Do you still feel it ?"

"Yes , she is the child of the traitor"

"I'm sorry but I can't allow you to kill her"

"Impudent Human , wait a minute . You also emit mana which is similar to Sylus"

"It can be because Sylus wanted me to protect her child and she gave me her powers"

"Then , I will kill you first"

The dragon attacked but Jinhyuk dodged him . He kicked the dragon on his chest as he flew away . Jinhyuk went to the corner of his wall from where the dragon entered . He turned back

"Sis , keep her safe . Stay inside the barrier"

Jinhyuk jumped off the building . The dragon crashed below on the road as the cars crashed against each other . The dragon woke up as he saw that Jinhyuk was levitating on the air near him . The anger was clearly seen in it's eyes . The dragon jumped at Jinhyuk with his claws . The attacks were dodged . Each attack felt like the air was being split apart by them . Jinhyuk dodged them with high proficiency . He gathered mana in his hand and punched . The punch connected to the dragon as he slid back . Jinhyuk was standing with his head down . He raised his head as his left eye glowed yellow . The mana he was releasing was too much for even hunters to handle . The dragon stood up as he wiped the blood . He also released his mana which was at the same level as Jinhyuk .

Both of them were releasing an tremendous amount of mana . The glasses of the nearby buildings shattered . The city was also in a sense of panic as most of the civilians focused on evacuating . Sumi and others were in the guild building looking at the fight from a distance . Jinhyuk disapperared from his position as he appeared behind the dragon . His punch made the dragon crash on the ground once more but this time the dragon didn't budge . He caught Jinhyuk's arm and pulled him and slammed him on the ground .

A crater was formed where he landed . He got up as the dragon had retreated after damaging him . He spat out the blood in its mouth as he rushed towards the dragon . The speed was so fast that even the dragon couldn't dodge . He raised his hands like a cross in front of him and his scales formed a defense barrier .

Jinhyuk's mana covered hand which had a solid , crystal structure punched on the center of the barrier as it shattered and a huge impact was released . The force broke through sound barriers as the dragon flew away and crashed on the ground . Jinhyuk rushed towards the location .

Suddenly , a beam of ray came towards him . He didn't waste time as he raised his hand .

[Ding]

[HellFlame (EX) activated]

Jinhyuk's hand released the beam of flames as it collided with the dragon's breath . The clash lasted for a long time as none of the sides gained the advantage . The heat released from the both attacks were tremendous as Jinhyuk's upper clothes started burning revealing his bare body . On the other hand , the dragons clothes were also burning as it revealed his skin . The surroundings started to melt under the heat .

They both extracted more and more mana with only one thought . The person whose mana ends first will be defeated . Dragons are known for having an immense amount of mana even greater than humans but Jinhyuk wasn't normal . He had the dragon heart which contained an immense mana comparable to a dragon while his own mana pool is hundred times greater than any S-Ranker .

The dragon had his mana pool to end first as his power diminished . The hellflame overcame him and scourged the dragon's body as Jinhyuk was continuously releasing it . He stopped his attack and looked at the half burnt body of the dragon lying on the ground .

Jinhyuk landed before him . The dragon's face was etched with pain and misery as he slowly asked .

"I-I lost , human . Do you dare say your name ?"

"It's Jinhyuk….Sung Jinhyuk"

"Sung ?!" asked the dragon with wide eyes and trembling voice

"Yes"

"Now , I understood" he said with a smile on his face before continuing

"You are 'her' son"

Jinhyuk was stunned for a moment but before he could ask something , the dragon burnt to ashes and dissipated into dust .
