Chapter 130

"Benjamin, when I speak to you at least have the decency to listen. I was almost close to liking your behaviour tonight but I know there's got to be something you're trying to hide from me. I will call your sister tonight so she can help you. I've had enough of the two of you bothering me," said Vance.

Vance preferred it when they bothered each other rather than him. Although they bickered with each other like strangers, they were still able to get the job done.

Adeline had more than enough time to relax and clear her mind.

"I don't know what to say to convince you that I didn't do anything wrong tonight. No wonder Adeline ran away from home. I was stupid to stay back," Benjamin said, laughing at himself. "Neither of us was ever going to make you proud and we both knew it. Still, we were so dumb to try to get your attention."
