Even as it reached the 4th quarter, the opposing team still had a slight lead, but we only needed a few more points to catch up. Time passed quickly, and every time our team scored, the gym would erupt with the cheers of the students. Aria wasn't falling behind either—she kept cheering for me from where she was.

And I was so happy. It felt like this was the first time I had ever experienced this kind of joy in my entire life. Until there were just seconds left on the clock... We needed two more points to win.

I took the shot, even though I wasn't sure if the ball would go in because I was so far from the hoop. If it did go in, it would be a three-point shot. Everything felt like it was in slow motion as I threw the ball.

That shot would decide whether Aria would go on a date with me… and then—
