Ch 181: A Walk in the Rain

He met her again, an old love,

Once too shy to say anything.

But this time, he held her hands,

No words were spoken, yet it said everything.

She asked softly, "How have you been?"

He smiled, nursing her hairs as such.

Fine he said, glancing at her lips,

But perhaps lacks, a woman's touch.

She gasped, her eyes seeking to stray,

Yet she couldn't manage to look away.

"I liked the confidence," she whispered, "so bold and free,

Are you by any chance flirting with me?"

He chuckles, "No, that wouldn't do,

You're meant to be a wife, not someone to woo."

Flustered, she turned, her heart took flight,

But the rain fell heavy, drowning the night.

He raised his umbrella and held her close,

In their hearts a new spark arose.

Let's take a walk, he said to her.

She smiled, revealing her wish to be together.
