Chapter 15

I sense the impending conflict before it becomes visible. At first, the noise is barely audible, muffled by the thick wall of trees that stands between us. Each blow sends ripples through the air, a sound so fierce that it can only indicate a fight for survival. I know it's Russell; I have no doubt. He is facing Avalor alone, just as he vowed he would.
