Chapter 43

Lucius, his eyes flashing with rage, watched as George, his traitorous pawn, still attempting to flee even after catching him right in the act.

Just as George was about to disappear into the dense undergrowth, Lucius lunged forward, his claws extended. With a swift, powerful movement, he seized George by the scruff of his neck and dragged him back into the light.

"You dare to betray me?" Lucius hissed, his voice venomous. "After all I've done for you?"

George, his heart pounding with fear, struggled against Lucius's grip. "I... I'm sorry," he stammered. "I've made a mistake."

Lucius sneered. "A mistake? You call it a mistake? You betrayed your own kind, your own family. You deserve to suffer."
