Chapter 68

George, exhausted from his journey quickly made his way to his refuge. He sought refuge in his secret hideout. One that he had always had before he left the kingdom.

It was a hidden chamber, a secret known only to him. As he entered, a cloud of dust enveloped him. He coughed and sneezed, his eyes watering.

"It is so so dusty in here." He said before sneezing again as he carefully scrutinized the room to be sure that he was still as safe as it used to be, back in the days.

Quickly, he shed his disguise, throwing away the worn clothes, the walking stick and the fake beard. He longed for a cleansing bath, a way to wash away the grime and the deceit.

"Argghh." He said, moaning in pain as he tried to straighten his back after so much pretense.

"My back hurts so much from having to pretend to be an old and stupid man literally all night." He complained bitterly.
