But, of course, her boss—the CEO—had his eyes on her, more curious than ever. And while the entire office might fear her or wonder about her, she remained blissfully indifferent. This was fun. Sebastian pulled up to the front of Angel Café, his grip tightening slightly on the steering wheel as his eyes scanned the entrance. The café was small, but warm lights spilled through the glass windows, illuminating cozy corners filled with couples laughing and sharing quiet moments.

It wasn't like him to overthink. But for some reason, the sight of Lilith walking into a place like this alone, possibly meeting someone, tied his stomach in knots.

Lilith unbuckled her seatbelt and turned to him, her lips curling into a playful smile. "Thank you, sir! I've never seen such a considerate boss before."

Sebastian's eyes met hers, lingering longer than necessary as her charming smile held him captive.

He gave a stiff nod, unable to form a proper response.
