Sebastian didn't answer immediately. Instead, he stepped over to his closet, grabbing a Black suit shirt and pulling it on over his head, as if to distract himself from her teasing gaze.
Finally, as he adjusted the hem of the shirt, he turned back to her.
"I just needed to… cool off," he said, his voice low but firm.
Lilith raised a brow, clearly amused.
"Cool off?" she echoed, tilting her head. "From what? Seeing Rose and me in her room?"
Sebastian's gaze darkened, and for a moment, he didn't respond.
Instead, he walked over to the bed, standing in front of her and leaning down slightly, his face close enough for her to see the storm brewing in his eyes.
"Don't push your luck, Lili," he murmured, his voice dropping dangerously.
But Lilith?
She just smiled.
This was fun.
