Chapter 144 You will lose them

Dr. Jones observed the man before him, his expression unreadable, yet his sharp eyes took in every detail. Alexander Carter—cold, emotionless, and composed—sat before him on the luxurious hospital bed, his breathing slow and controlled.

The room was silent except for the faint ticking of the clock on the wall.

"Take a deep breath," Dr. Jones instructed, his voice calm yet firm.

Alexander obeyed, inhaling deeply before exhaling slowly.

Dr. Jones sighed, glancing at his notes. "Dr. Hayes briefed me about your case..." he paused before meeting Alexander's gaze, his voice lowering. "To be honest, even if you attend all your sessions, you won't ever be completely normal."

Alexander's fingers twitched slightly, but his face remained expressionless.

Dr. Jones continued, his words deliberate. "If you want to be fully cured... it depends entirely on you. However—" He placed his clipboard down and folded his arms.

"You will lose them."
