Gacha Surprises and Multiverse Madness

As I walked back to the office, my mind drifted to the future. What would it hold for me? I had been here for four years, a Pro Hero and a detective, and yet there was still so much I hadn't figured out. Just as I was getting lost in thought, a familiar Ding! echoed in my head.

The Gacha System.

It had been pretty much useless for a while now, not giving me anything particularly useful in the past few years. Sure, I got a Totem of Undying from Minecraft at one point, which was cool but more of a novelty than anything. The rest of the stuff? Potions—some random farming potion that doubled crop drops for a minute—and a bunch of runestones that just made the weapon it was applied on look flashy but didn't add any extra damage. All in all, the Gacha hadn't exactly been kind to me lately.

I sighed as I entered the office and plopped down on the couch. Might as well spin and see what disappointment awaited me this time.

With a casual flick of my finger, I clicked [Spin]. The familiar sound of the wheel turning echoed in my head, and then—Ding!.

The first item appeared on the floating screen: [Character Template: Aizen Sōsuke].

I blinked. What? Aizen Sōsuke? My luck had been soo terrible for the past years, and now I pull this? The master manipulator, one of the most powerful characters in the Big 3? That was a game-changer. A slow grin spread across my face.

The second item popped up: [World Hopping Card]. Okay, another one of this. I stashed it away in my inventory for later. I wasn't in the mood to jump to another world just yet, but it would come in handy eventually.

The third item was something I wasn't expecting at all: [Multiverse Chat Group]. What the hell? I had to admit, I was intrigued. Had my luck of the past few years accumulated? I didn't have much time to dwell on it, because the fourth item appeared: [Wand]. It looked sleek, almost metallic, and when I channeled quantum energy into it, red veins lit up across its surface. It was cool, but I had no immediate use for it, so into the storage it went.

Without hesitation, I activated the Aizen template. His intellect, his mastery of manipulation, his power in the Shinigami arts—there was no point in holding onto it for later. As the template fused with me, I felt a rush of knowledge, a sharpening of my already honed instincts. This would be fun.

But now for the real surprise. The Multiverse Chat Group.

A translucent floating screen appeared before me, with a message that read:

[Welcome! To the Multiverse Chat Group]

Then, another prompt:

[Would you like to send out invites?]

Curiosity piqued, I clicked [Yes]. Immediately, several more dings echoed in my mind, and I watched as messages popped up on the screen.

[Welcome! @Web_Slinger to the group chat]

[Welcome! @Billionaire_Playboy to the group chat]

[Welcome! @Pottah to the group chat]

[Welcome! @Byakugan_Princess to the group chat]

I stared at the names, putting the pieces together. Web-Slinger? That was definitely Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man. Pottah? Harry Potter. Byakugan Princess? Hinata Hyuga, obviously. But Billionaire Playboy? That could be either Tony Stark or Bruce Wayne. A smirk tugged at my lips—this was about to get interesting.

I decided to send a message:

[@Blade: Welcome to the group chat everyone. Before you ask me any questions, I would like to explain a few things. 1 - I didn't make this group, nor do I have any idea who did. 2 - The notifications imply this is a Multiverse Group Chat, so we are from different universes. 3 - To not make you all doubt me, I'll introduce myself first. My name is Shiro Emiya.]

There was a pause before the first reply came in.

[@Web_Slinger: So the floating thing I'm seeing in front of me is real? I'm not hallucinating? Btw, I'm Peter Parker.]

Ah, classic Peter.

Next up was Hinata:

[@Byakugan_Princess: I first thought it was a genjutsu. Thank you for explaining it. I am Hinata Hyuga.]

Then came Potter—except it wasn't exactly what I expected.

[@Pottah: Me too. I thought I was hallucinating, or maybe Malfoy had done some kind of magic on me. I'm Rose Potter. Nice to meet you.]

Rose Potter? That was unexpected. Not only was Harry Potter a girl in this universe, but her name wasn't even Harry.

I waited for the last person to reply. After a moment, I typed:

[@Blade: Umm @Billionaire_Playboy, you there or not?]

A few seconds later, I got a response:

[@Billionaire_Playboy: Hmm, this is pretty interesting. Sorry for my rudeness; I was in a state of shock, thinking someone had drugged me. My name is Bruce Wayne.]

So it was Batman. And the guy was lying through his teeth. He wasn't in shock—he'd been observing us, assessing the situation. Classic Bruce.

With everyone introduced, another ding sounded, followed by two notifications:

[Congratulations! You completed the introductions. The system shop is now unlocked.]

[Character sheets are now being shown.]

The first character sheet to pop up was mine:

[Name: Shiro Emiya; Age: 19; Occupation: Teacher, Hero, Detective; Alias: Blade, Detective Emiya; World: My Hero Academia]

Luckily, it didn't list my powers—just some basic information that anyone could figure out. Peter and Rose were quick to ask questions:

[@Web_Slinger: Dude, you're a Hero and a Detective?]

[@Pottah: Wait, you're an actual Hero? Like a comic book Hero?]

I chuckled. "Yeah, something like that."

Next, Rose's info appeared:

[Name: Rose Potter; Age: 17; Occupation: Student (Witch); Alias: The Girl Who Lived; World: Wizarding World]

Peter immediately latched onto one detail.

[@Web_Slinger: I understand the student part, but what does 'Witch' mean?]

Rose replied simply:

[@Pottah: I'm a witch studying at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I'm learning to use magic here.]

Hinata, surprisingly intrigued, chimed in:

[@Byakugan_Princess: Magic? Is it like Chakra?]

[@Pottah: Chakra? Never heard of it. Magic surrounds everything, and we use wands to channel it, use it as desired. I hope that explains.]

Hinata went quiet after that, probably thinking about how magic compared to chakra. Next, Bruce's info came up:

[Name: Bruce Wayne; Age: 35; Occupation: Businessman, Hero; Alias: Batman, Billionaire, Playboy; World: DC]

Peter and Rose replied in unison:

[@Web_Slinger, @Pottah: Another Hero.]

Finally, Peter's sheet appeared:

[Name: Peter Parker; Age: 16; Occupation: Student, Hero; Alias: Nerd, Spider-Man; World: Marvel]

By now, everyone was already used to the idea of multiple heroes in the chat.

Last but not least, Hinata's profile popped up:

[Name: Hinata Hyuga; Age: 15; Occupation: Shinobi; Alias: Hyuga Clan Heiress; World: Shippuden]

I couldn't help but smirk at the system listing her world as Shippuden instead of Naruto. I guess it'd be weird seeing your crush's name as the title of your entire world.

Peter and Rose were once again fascinated:

[@Web_Slinger, @Pottah: Whoa, are you a real ninja? So cool.]

I chuckled at their excitement, watching the chat unfold. This was going to make my life a whole lot more interesting.
