The Aftermath of the First Mission

After a long day, I finally settled down. Today's teaching experience had been good, but it was time to check in with the chat group. I was eager to see how everyone was adjusting to their new powers. A quick thought in my head the chat appeared already buzzing with activity.

[Multiverse Chat Group]

[@Web_Slinger]: "Hey, how's everyone doing? My day was pretty normal today, actually. After school, I went to the rooftop and trained with my new powers. This bio-electricity thing is insane! I almost fried my phone by accident, though. Oops."

I chuckled to myself. That sounded like Peter. With his new abilities, it was only a matter of time before he started testing the limits.

[@Blade]: "Good to hear you're getting used to it. Just make sure you don't blow up anything important."

[@Web_Slinger]: "Too late. I almost fried Aunt May's toaster earlier today, but she just thought it was a power surge. Still working on the invisibility thing too. It's cool but hard to control."

[@Billionaire_Playboy]: "Bio-electricity, huh? Sounds like someone I am quite familiar with."

This caught my attention. Bruce was usually more reserved, but it seemed like he had been thinking about his reward from the mission.

[@Billionaire_Playboy]: "Speaking of your world, Peter, what do you know about the Arc Reactor?"

[@Web_Slinger]: "Wait, you got an Arc Reactor? Dude, that's Tony Stark tech! It's basically a clean energy source, and it powers the Iron Man suit. But, you know, it's not something to mess around with."

[@Billionaire_Playboy]: "Interesting. I might need to start some research on it."

Bruce was always calculating. I had no doubt he'd build something amazing with that blueprint.

[@Pottah]: "I wish I could say my day was normal, but I went to Grimmauld Place since my third year is over. The Dursleys are unbearable, so I decided to stay here. I'm still working on proving Sirius's innocence."

That made me pause. Looks like in her world they start Hogwarts at 15-16 and Rose was still fighting her own battles outside of the group. Grimmauld Place was hardly a home, but it was better than the Dursleys. As for Sirius, I knew his story from the Harry Potter books, but this was real life now. If there was something I could do…

[@Blade]: "Rose, when I get some time, I'll visit your world. I'll look into Sirius's case and see if I can help."

[@Pottah]: "Really? Thank you, Shiro. That means a lot to me. Also, thanks again for watching out for me during the mission. I know it wasn't easy."

Her gratitude was sincere, and it warmed my heart. Rose had potential, but the weight she carried from her world was heavy. I made a mental note to help her however I could.

[@Byakugan_Princess]: "I trained all day too. My chakra control has improved a lot since the mission, and now that I have all five basic chakra natures, I need to refine them. It feels like my body's overflowing with energy."

Hinata was a quiet force in the group. Her dedication to training was inspiring, but there was something more behind her intense focus. I knew what—or rather, *who*—that was.

[@Pottah]: "I couldn't help but notice during the mission that you kept muttering about proving yourself to some Naruto-Kun? Who is he? Someone special?"

Hinata instantly clammed up, clearly embarrassed by Rose's teasing. I could almost picture her blushing on the other side of the chat.

[@Byakugan_Princess]: "He's my friend. That's all."

[@Pottah]: "Friend? Doesn't sound like it with the way you were muttering to yourself."

[@Byakugan_Princess]: "It's just... Naruto has always been someone I admired. He's worked so hard, and I want to catch up to him."

I smiled to myself. Naruto was more than a friend to her, even if she wasn't ready to admit it yet. Rose's teasing continued, though.

[@Pottah]: "Hmm, sounds like someone's got a crush!"

[@Web_Slinger]: "Ohhh, Hinata's got a crush! Don't worry, Hinata, you're not alone. I get flustered too, especially around her."

[@Blade]: "Let's not pressure Hinata. She'll tell us more when she's ready."

Hinata didn't reply for a few moments, probably too flustered to respond. But the silence wasn't awkward—it was just another dynamic in our odd little group.

[@Byakugan_Princess]: "Thanks, Shiro."

[@Blade]: "No problem."

I leaned back, letting the conversation flow naturally among the others. Even though we'd just met in real life, the camaraderie was already there. We were a team, bound by the missions we faced and the worlds we came from. And now, we had real lives to balance alongside these tasks.

[@Pottah]: "By the way, Shiro, what are you going to do with your reward from the mission? Rho Aias, right?"

[@Blade]: "Yeah. It's a powerful shield, but I'm still figuring out how to incorporate it into my fighting style. It'll come in handy, though."

[@Web_Slinger]: "A shield? Nice! You're almost like Hawkeye he is an Archer and your Aiming skills are quite like him so, do you plan to become one in the future, huh?"

I chuckled. He wasn't wrong. The idea of becoming like Shirou Emiya from *Fate* had crossed my mind more than once, especially since I'd already named myself after him.

[@Billionaire_Playboy]: "That shield is going to be useful for defense. You'll need it if we get more missions like that."

[@Blade]: "Agreed. The mutant zombie wasn't much trouble, but the next mission might be harder."

Everyone seemed to agree. The mutant zombie from the last mission had been an easy opponent. It was only going to get harder from here, and we needed to be ready.

[@Pottah]: "By the way, I've been practicing with the Ancient Magic I got. It's different from the spells I'm used to, but it feels powerful."

[@Byakugan_Princess]: "I'm still amazed at how different magic is from chakra. But it makes sense—our worlds are different."

[@Blade]: "Keep practicing. We'll need all the power we can get."

The chat quieted down after that. We were all busy with our lives, but this connection was something we all valued. The first mission had been a success, and now we were starting to see the rewards. But as always, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more going on.

I glanced at the screen one last time before heading to bed. The villains behind the murder case were still out there, and I had every intention of finding out who was pulling the strings. But for now, I could rest knowing that I wasn't alone in this fight. The chat group had my back.

[Multiverse Chat Group]

[@Blade]: "Goodnight, everyone. We'll talk soon."

[@Web_Slinger]: "Night!"

[@Pottah]: "Goodnight."

[@Byakugan_Princess]: "Goodnight."

[@Billionaire_Playboy]: "Until next time."

I closed the chat and smiled. This was just the beginning.
