Hearing me put it that way, Aunt Wu was thrilled and hugged me tightly, showering me with kisses.
"Little Tian, with those words, your Auntie is completely satisfied," she said.
We clung to each other for a long time until around four or five in the morning, when Aunt Wu finally quietly left my room.
I was dead tired and quickly fell into a deep sleep.
The next morning, when I got up, it was already past eight. The gym opens at nine-thirty, so I wasn't late.
"You're up? Little Tian, come quickly and have breakfast."
I had just come out when I heard Aunt Wu calling me.
She looked exceptionally radiant today, glowing and as spirited as ever, despite having gone to bed so late the night before.
"Little Tian, come, here's the fried egg I made for you. Eat up," she said.
Aunt Wu brought over a bowl of fried eggs, even adding some sugar just for me.
"Thank you, Aunt Wu," I said with a smile, picking up my chopsticks.
