"Why are you being so unreasonable?"
Mr. Wang was so anxious that he almost cried, seemingly having never encountered such a shameless person before.
"Everything I'm saying is true, I really didn't hit her."
By this time, a crowd had already gathered around, pointing and whispering.
Mr. Wang clutched at my sleeve, continuously explaining, trying to make me believe her.
"Don't be afraid, I believe you."
I gently patted Mr. Wang's hand and then glanced over at the middle-aged woman, speaking indifferently: "Who actually bumped into whom isn't clear just by your word, so why don't we have a look at the surveillance footage? I believe there are cameras at this intersection."
"It was clearly her who bumped into me, why bother with the surveillance?"
Hearing me say this, the middle-aged woman obviously started to panic.
Without waiting for me to say anything more, the woman prudently pushed her cart and left.
