Ting Yang was going to stay with Ji Zeqiu for a while, and Lin Xu was still trying to figure out how to tell Ji Tingyang when Ji Tingyang came home, fuming with anger, to confront her.
He stormed over with a face full of rage, and before he could speak, Lin Xu was one step ahead as she brought over the black chicken soup she had made for him to drink.
"You've been so busy lately; your complexion has gotten so haggard. I had Aunt Zhang make you some soup to nourish your body," Lin Xu said.
Even though it wasn't as good as if she had made it herself, the sight of her bringing the soup to him still easily satisfied him.
He took the soup bowl, opened his mouth, and his voice, previously surrounded by anger, now carried a trace of grievance, "Do you despise me now?"
"Huh? Who said that?" Lin Xu was baffled.
"Otherwise, why would you want to move out and go to Ji Zeqiu's? Isn't it good to continue living here with me?" Ji Tingyang asked.
"How did you know?" Lin Xu felt guilty.
