Lin Xu's smile suddenly faded, and her expression turned to panic.
She hurried to Xie Changyan's side and, upon getting closer, she noticed an unnatural flush on his cheeks.
She touched his forehead and furrowed her brows upon feeling his high temperature.
"You're running such a high fever. Not only are you not resting at home, but you're also out and about, do you not care about your life!" Lin Xu helped him to sit on the sofa, her face serious.
Xie Changyan was indifferent, "I came over to celebrate your birthday."
"Which is more important, birthday or health? Don't you know?" Lin Xu glared at him, clearly annoyed.
Facing her anger, Xie Changyan seemed to know exactly how to handle her, weakly coughing a few times.
Lin Xu's anger visibly dissipated, and worry took over her face again; she quickly patted his back and handed him a glass of water.
"Why don't you go upstairs and rest for a bit? I'll call the family doctor to come and take a look at you," she suggested.
