"The indicators for carbon fiber are given in 't' (tons), where 'T' is a unit in physics used to describe hardness. When a cubic meter of a material exerts a force of 40 tons upwards, causing a one-centimeter deformation, we say the elastic modulus of this material is 40t. The higher the 't' value, the stronger and more elastic the material.
Ordinary carbon cloth generally ranges from 20t-30t. HVF is from 30t-40t, and SVF from 40t-60t. SVF is lighter than HVF, and it has higher strength and better elasticity.
However, the material for ordinary domestic carbon fiber fishing rods is generally 24t carbon fiber cloth.
But there is a common misconception that needs to be noted, high-tonnage carbon cloth is indeed added in the making of high-end rods, but the entire fishing rod is not made from carbon cloth of the same grade!
