"Did you take a nap in the elevator?"
Thirteen Yaos said, standing outside the elevator.
"Sorry, Minister. The elevator broke down, so I was a little late."
Liu Zheng explained.
"Don't make excuses. Since I started working at the bathhouse, those three have never broken down."
Thirteen Yaos rolled his eyes.
Don't be fooled by their worn-out appearance; these elevators might slightly lack functionality, but their durability is definitely superior to any elevator in the real world.
"I misspoke, it's not broken, just a minor glitch."
He corrected himself.
"Really?"
Thirteen Yaos scrutinized Liu Zheng, as if trying to detect something.
"For a newbie, coming out of the elevator completely unscathed and in high spirits is quite unusual. Perhaps you're a little too competent."
He said with a meaningful tone.
These elevators surely have a role in optimizing employee performance, but they're definitely not intended to kill the staff.
