As the night wind caressed her, Xu Jing became much more clear-headed.
Only then did she, belatedly, realize just how bold and presumptuous she had been in the alley earlier.
She didn't dare to look at Zhang Xiaoshan, for fear their eyes might meet.
"What can you do, it's already like this," she said.
"My face is completely lost. I can't dare to go home. Just take me directly to the school in White Dragon Village."
"I'll come back after a few days, when my dad has forgotten about tonight's incident," she continued.
Zhang Xiaoshan soothed Xu Jing, saying,
"You're just burying your head in the sand by doing this."

"If he really recognized you, he would have exploded with anger by now."
Upon hearing this, Xu Jing thought that it did indeed seem to be the case.
