The next day, Jimmy got up early, washed up, and headed out to Roland's lakeside cabin after checking out of his accommodation.

Although it had been almost a year since his last visit, there hadn't been much change around the lakeside cabin. An old pickup was parked outside the house, which was normal since there was no garage; the pickup must have been parked outside, weather-beaten by the wind and sun.

Jimmy parked his car next to the pickup and used Heart Eye Observation on the cabin from inside his car, confirming that there was nobody inside.

Jimmy didn't get out of his car and sat waiting inside. With the pickup still here, maybe Roland had only left for a while. If he couldn't wait for Roland any longer, he would consider whether to enter the house.
