After Jimmy had killed the gunman, he immediately stood up, waving his handgun as he began to scan his surroundings, worried that someone who hadn't appeared before might now show up to shoot again.
Once he confirmed the area was safe, Jimmy approached the car assigned to him, sat next to the bullet-proof door, took out his phone, and called Mahong to inform him of the attack. Then, he dialed 911 to request additional NYPD patrol officers to block off traffic and seal off the street.
As soon as Jimmy hung up, he could already hear the sound of police sirens, indicating that a patrol car was nearby.
Jimmy put the 1875 back into its holster; ammo for his Glock was already running low, so it too was holstered. He then drew the Python, keeping it ready while waiting for the officers to arrive on the scene.
