"Regret?"
Chen Fang asked, as he looked at him with lowered brows.
Wu Junyong nodded repeatedly, saying, "I do regret, I regret it. I shouldn't have been opposing Mr. Li. I realize my mistake now."
"Go and tell Mr. Li," Chen Fang continued, "as long as he is willing to forgive you, naturally I have no objections."
Chen Fang spoke.
Wu Junyong was stunned.
He said, "Mr. Li... Mr. Li has already died. How can he forgive me?"
Chen Fang shrugged his shoulders and spread his hands, saying, "Then there's nothing I can do. This just means you don't deserve forgiveness. People didn't know how to cherish life while they were alive and now beg for forgiveness upon death. Even elementary school students know they should own up to their mistakes; surely you, at your age, must understand this basic principle, don't you?"
After dropping this remark,
Chen Fang pushed his hand away and walked away.
