015 I want all these power banks (Thanks to TRJ1225 for the tip and additional chapters)

Having prepared all the pickles and spicy hotpot ingredients, night had already fallen, and Hua Mi stored the electric flatbed cart back into her level 4 storage, snapped her fingers, and instantaneously returned to the supermarket to sleep.

Her habit of staying in at night unless necessary was well-kept; she still wasn't quite comfortable wandering outside at that time.

As night fell, Hua Mi used a large bucket of mineral water to wipe down her body nonchalantly, thoroughly washing her buttocks before lying on the second floor of the small supermarket playing on her phone.

Unknowingly, she drifted off to sleep.

She was startled awake by a sudden alert that appeared before her tightly closed eyes,

"!!! Energy Insufficiency Detected..."

"!!! Energy Insufficiency Detected..."

"!!! Energy Insufficiency Detected..."

The message must have been important, as it popped up three times in a row for Hua Mi.

The lights on the supermarket's second floor flickered, seeming to indicate an unstable voltage.

Electricity... Hua Mi opened her bleary eyes and remembered that it had been so long since the earthquake, and she hadn't yet worried about the electricity situation in her supermarket.

It must have been the electricity provided by the apocalypse supermarket.

So what to do with the energy shortage now? Would they cut off her power?

She opened the control panel, checked the level 2 factory, and saw that the green health bar was completely depleted, replaced by a red lightning bolt icon.

Indeed, it needed to be charged.

Hua Mi glanced at her phone again, and saw that Ah Fu had sent her a message: the water bottling factory was running at full capacity producing mineral water. The 100,000 bottles of mineral water had been prepared since she left, but with so many people in the market needing water, the factory planned to sell her just 50,000 bottles, saving the rest for people coming to Xiang City to buy water.

Additionally, the water bottling factory wanted to order another 200,000 water bottles from her, 1.5L each.

Hua Mi immediately called the Factory Director,

"The remaining 50,000 bottles of mineral water, I don't need them. Does your factory have any large generators? For a big plant like yours, you should be able to get your hands on such things, right?"

"There is a channel for that, but the price..." the Factory Director spoke evasively, implying that 50,000 bottles of mineral water definitely wouldn't cover the cost of a large generator set.

Moreover, to keep the generator running in such conditions, a substantial amount of diesel fuel would be required.

And the channels had to be legitimate ones.

The Factory Director was confident; their paperwork was complete and with strong connections, securing more diesel wasn't an issue.

Hua Mi immediately smiled,

"Factory Director, money is not a problem. You get me a generator set, and as for the water bottles, you can have as many as you want."

After discussing a mutually agreeable price, Hua Mi would provide water bottles to the water bottling factory, and the Factory Director would get her a generator set and take care of the necessary diesel fuel for the future.

Cooperation was mutually beneficial.

The Factory Director acted quickly; by the time Ah Fu had brought Hua Mi a truckload of neatly stacked mineral water, the Factory Director had already arranged for someone to deliver the generator set outside the ruins.

As previously agreed, Ah Fu and the person delivering the generator just had to bring the goods to the ruins where the Hua Mi Supermarket was located.

Hua Mi would get the City Clearance Team to repair the roads.

Once the roads were repaired, the workers would return to transport the mineral water and install the generator set.

This was expected to take a few days... that's what everybody assumed.

So, once the goods were delivered, everyone could take it easy and go about their business.

However, within half a day, Hua Mi was holding a bowl of spicy hot pot, calling the Factory Director,

"I've moved the generator set and the mineral water, send someone to install the generator set, and by the way, tell Ah Fu to come pick up the truck."

The Factory Director made a surprised noise, not quite understanding what was going on, thought about it, and then asked with confusion,

"Is the City Clearance Team that efficient? Did they fix the road already?"

"They haven't fixed it, but I've moved the generator set next to my supermarket."

Hua Mi didn't explain too much. The apocalypse was fast approaching, and soon the world would become bizarre and strange. What was the use of explaining so much?

Maybe the next day, the Factory Director wouldn't even be alive.

The Factory Director was also baffled. A generator set was almost as big as a shipping container. Had Hua Mi found a high-rise crane to move such a large and heavy generator set into the ruins?

Sure enough, with Captain Gong's support, she had wide connections.

The Factory Director didn't waste any more time and immediately called workers to install the generator set for Hua Mi.

Installing something so big would take a lot of time, so to save electricity, Hua Mi packed up the items in the supermarket, left some water and instant noodles for the workers, and went to the temporary relief center to charge her devices.

The temporary relief center had electricity, and they even provided survivors with three meals a day, for free!

For free!!!

So when Hua Mi walked out of the ruins, she kept picking up power banks from the debris all along the way.

Whenever she saw a power bank, she picked it up.

Nowadays, everyone had at least one, if not several. So by the time Hua Mi walked out of the ruins, she had picked up dozens of various power banks.

She was overjoyed, feeling that she was incredibly clever. With so many power banks, she no longer had to worry about her phone running out of battery.

Even if one day her phone no longer had a signal, she could still play the single-player game, Candy Crush.

Thinking this way, it all seemed worth the exhaustion.

However, when she coasted to the temporary relief center on her flatbed cart, she noticed that somehow, the center had set up stalls outside. At a glance, there was a bit of everything for sale.

Of course, there were people selling power banks, all picked from debris, sold by weight.

There were also new power banks for sale, albeit a bit pricier, but still cheaper than before the earthquake, just about ten yuan each.

So why on earth did Hua Mi, who spent hours excavating ruins and ended up as tired as a dog, not spend a little money to buy a few dozen pounds of power banks?

Hua Mi gritted her teeth in frustration and pounced on the power bank stall, barking,

"Make it cheaper; I want all these power banks!"

The stall owner, surprised by Hua Mi, watched as she took out her phone to make a transfer to him. He quickly stood up and quoted a price.

Hua Mi cut his asking price in half, and the stall owner agreed without hesitation.

After receiving the money, the stall owner pointed to his stall piled high with power banks,

"This stall is yours now, please enjoy, rich lady!"

Then, he casually slung his bag over his shoulder, left his stall, and continued to dig for power banks in the ruins.

Watching the stall owner's hasty retreat, Hua Mi felt she might have been a bit impulsive. With so many power banks, she couldn't just gather them all into her level 4 storage in front of everyone here.

Then she saw a power strip behind the stall, and her eyes instantly lit up.

The line ran from inside the temporary relief center; whoever managed to set that up was clever.

She immediately sat down in front of the former owner's stall, pulled over the unwanted power strip, and started charging her mountain-like pile of power banks.
