Shiki reached out and rubbed Hinata's head.

Two red clouds appeared on Hinata's originally downcast expression.

She nodded obediently.

Hiashi was speechless.

After all, she is the eldest daughter of the Hyuga clan—how can she be satisfied so easily?

There's no hope.

Shiki returned to the Aburame clan's residence.

But it was not for eating, but for the routine senjutsu chakra testing.

As before, it resulted in explosions.

Shiki was not discouraged.

In life, ups and downs are normal.

He returned to the Senju residence, had dinner, and fell into a baby-like sleep.

A new week arrived.

There was no difference from before.

The only change was that Iruka announced that the final exams would be held next month.

The Ninja Academy follows a three-semester system per year, with the first semester running from January to March.

Shiki didn't react much.

The most excited ones were Sasuke and Naruto.

The former wanted to use this opportunity to defeat Shiki.

He had been practicing Lightning Release Ninjutsu diligently and had made some progress.

By then, he was sure Shiki would be defeated.

As for Naruto, he was just excited.

No matter the occasion, he wanted to be part of the fun.

After school, Shiki met with Neji, took the scroll of sealing techniques, and left the academy.

After a short walk, they arrived at Chihori and Karin's residence.

Shiki raised his hand and knocked on the door.

"Brother Shiki!"

Karin opened the door and greeted him cheerfully.

Shiki patted her head.

"Shiki." Chihori greeted him, pouring him a glass of water, "Are you getting used to things here?"

Shiki took a sip, set the glass down, and asked, "How about you?"

Chihori hesitated, then nodded.

She wasn't completely used to it.

The home was so beautiful that it felt like a dream.

She feared that one day she would wake up and find herself back in Kusagakure.

"This is a sealing technique scroll." Shiki said, taking out the scroll given to him by Neji.

"I'll do my best!" Chihori took a deep breath, determination evident on her face.

Shiki believed her.

Those who have come back from the brink of hell often have an unmatched capacity for endurance.

"Karin." Shiki said, turning to her, "Do you want to be a ninja?"

"I do!" Karin replied without hesitation, "I want to protect my mother."

Chihori smiled gently at this, radiating a warm maternal glow.

"And I want to protect you too, Brother Shiki!" Karin added.

"Alright then." Shiki said with a smile, "I'll create a study plan for you."

Karin was six years old, the right age to begin her studies.

But with her background, she couldn't enroll in the Ninja Academy.

Shiki would not let her potential go to waste.

It would also provide an extra level of insurance should she face unexpected dangers.

After all, he wasn't certain if Chihori would succeed with the sealing techniques.

"Will you be my teacher, Brother Shiki?" Karin asked hopefully.

"I suppose so." Shiki replied, "But I won't have much time to teach you myself."

Karin looked a little disappointed.

"Well, let's get started now." Shiki said, opening his bag.

Karin's attention was immediately drawn to it.

"First, let's begin with the basics of chakra refinement." Shiki explained, pulling out a book.

Chakra extraction is fairly straightforward, explainable in a single sentence.

It involves mixing physical and spiritual energy in the body evenly to produce chakra.

However, mastering it takes time.

Once one can perform chakra refinement smoothly, they're well on their way to becoming a Genin.

For those with average talent, this might take five or six years.

Those from ninja clans tend to master it faster, typically within one or two years.

For true prodigies, the time varies—it could be days or even months.

"Do you understand?" Shiki asked, looking at Karin.

She nodded and began refining her chakra.

A massive amount of power surged from within her, merging with her spiritual energy. A sudden gust caused Shiki's hair to flutter.

He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow—typical of the Uzumaki clan.

If his chakra level was around 6,000, then Karin's might be 10,000—or perhaps even 100,000.

Shiki rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

It might be time to adjust the training plan.

Having both mother and daughter learn the Shadow Clone Technique could be beneficial.

For Naruto, the Shadow Clone Technique became a powerful tool because he had enough chakra to support it.

As for Shiki, he had yet to learn it due to the unique nature of his abilities.

"Did I succeed?" Karin stopped her chakra refinement.

"You did very well." Shiki replied, thinking that Kakashi would probably feel envious seeing this scene.

Karin sighed with relief. She had worried about lacking talent and failing to help in the future.

Time passed quickly, and soon the semester came to an end.

Shiki had a productive month.

He learned the Palm Sage Technique and grew closer to the slug he summoned, realizing it was quite the talker.

Its loneliness was understandable.

There was only one slug in the entire Shikkotsu Forest, and Tsunade and Shizune rarely spoke with it.

Now, Shiki summoned it from time to time, providing a welcome break from its solitude.

Hinata made rapid progress, finally mastering the Gentle Fist and learning two of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms.

However, compared to Neji, her abilities seemed moderate; he had already reached the level of Eight Trigrams Palms.

Shino's senjutsu chakra attempts continued to fail, but he had become increasingly skilled at detonating parasitic bugs.

As for Sasuke and Naruto, Shiki wasn't entirely sure of their progress.

But whatever the case, the final exam would soon make everything clear.

---

"My hands were shaking during my first exam." Someone muttered.

"Want me to give you some advice?"

"Cheating's not an option."

"I heard that the results of the final exam will be displayed for the whole school and sent to our parents."

"That's it! You won't escape a scolding!"

Shiki walked into the classroom.

All along the way, he heard chatter about the final exams.

In just one hour, the theoretical exam would officially begin.

"Shiki." Ino called out, tilting her head, "Are you ready?"

"Yes." Shiki replied calmly.
