But he remained motionless.
Naruto looked dazed.
What burns youth?
It's burned out.
Shiki interpret his dreams!
How can they fight this?
Shiki gently exerted force and pressed his arms forward.
The powerful force caused Naruto to retreat again and again.
He stood firm and rushed forward again.
But the result was the same every time.
He tried his best, but Shiki simply blocked it without even moving his legs.
"It's so hopeless," Kiba said, shaking his head.
Naruto had already used his two most powerful physical techniques, but Shiki resolved them easily.
It was so easy that he didn't even use any special moves—just simple blocking.
"Shikamaru, is there any other solution?" Choji asked while chewing on potato chips.
"No matter how smart you are, you can't beat absolute power," Shikamaru replied, scratching his head. "There's no way."
If it were him, he'd just lie down and accept defeat.
"Shino, why is your brother so powerful?" Kiba asked in confusion.
'Good question. I'd like to know that too.' Shino thought.
Obviously, they have the same parents.
Shino replied in a muffled voice, "I don't know."
"I see your brother never uses bugs," Shikamaru said curiously. "Is that right?"
"His bugs are stronger than mine," Shino said with a pause, "Several times more powerful."
"It seems we're not worthy of him using his full strength," Shikamaru said with a gasp.
"Shiki, how do you train?" Ino asked, puzzled.
"You can ask him," Shino calmly suggested. "If it's you, he might tell you."
Ino's eyes suddenly lit up, and an eager expression appeared on her face.
"No more fighting!" Naruto exclaimed as he was beaten back again, waving his hands.
He had realized that he was putting in useless effort.
If you can't win, you can't win.
He guessed that he hadn't even forced out half of Shiki's strength.
"I've decided! Tonight, I'm going to run around the village a hundred times!" Naruto declared, quickly regaining his fighting spirit.
"Shiki wins," Iruka announced, without any surprise.
Just when he thought Naruto and Sasuke were surprising enough, Shiki would jump in and amaze him.
He sadly realized that he might no longer be able to defeat his student.
"The results will be out tomorrow. You can see them on the bulletin board at the school gate," Iruka said, clapping his hands. "School's over!"
"Yeah!"
Everyone cheered and headed back to their homes.
Iruka hurried to the office.
"Iruka… ahem… finished with the exam?" Asked Gekko, looking sickly.
"Just finished," Iruka replied, walking over. "Thank you for the hard work, Gekko ."
The theoretical exam papers for Grade 1, Class A, were graded by the corresponding teachers in Grade 2 to ensure fairness and prevent bias.
"No… cough… hard work… cough," Gekko replied, covering his chest and coughing harshly.
"Senior Gekko?" Iruka's heart tightened, worried.
If something happened, he would be responsible.
"I'm fine, just an old problem," Gekko said, waving it off. "Here's the report card. Take a look."
"So fast?" Iruka asked, surprised.
"I used the Shadow Clone Technique," Gale explained.
Iruka looked at him with envy.
With his skills, he would probably be reassigned soon, as teaching was a waste of his talent.
"As expected, Shiki is first again," Iruka said, glancing at the report card with a smile.
"Is he the kid who beat Neji with one punch?" Gekko asked, coughing lightly.
"It's him," Iruka nodded.
"Unbelievable," Gekko said.
Having watched Neji's progress, Gekko knew he was already stronger than most Genin.
But such a genius couldn't survive even a single move against Shiki.
"Exactly," Iruka agreed, recalling Shiki's performance.
---
Congratulations, Shiki! You got first place again," Ino said, trotting over, genuinely pleased.
The sunset fell on her golden hair, making it glow softly.
"Isn't it natural for Shiki to take first place?" Kiba said, jumping in.
"Right," Choji nodded.
Hinata and Shikamaru both looked at Shiki with expressions of approval.
"The theoretical results haven't come out yet, so it's not certain," Shiki said casually.
"Shiki, are you saying you did poorly?" Ino asked, a trace of worry on her face.
"No," Shiki replied, shaking his head.
"Then I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't be number one," Ino said, rolling her eyes at him. Shiki was steady in everything—sometimes too steady, sometimes too arrogant.
"To celebrate Shiki's first place, how about we go have barbecue?" Choji suddenly said, excited.
"Good idea!" Naruto quickly agreed.
"It's on me," Shiki said with a faint smile. "Think of it as a get-together before the holiday."
"It's holidays," Ino murmured, feeling a bit down.
During the holidays, it wouldn't be as easy to see Shiki as it was at school.
"Ino?" Shiki glanced at her.
"Coming!" Ino said quickly, moving to walk beside him.
"Oh, we're still missing one person," Naruto said, realizing something.
