Waking Up

Mikhailis had no idea how or why this was happening. The queen gazed at him, her large antennae twitching gently. Her huge eyes seemed to shine with something that looked almost motherly, a warmth that made Mikhailis feel both uneasy and strangely comforted at the same time.

Mikhailis gulped, trying to keep his composure.

Gods... Please tell me whas happenin'...?

He felt so small and vulnerable, especially with the chimera ant queen watching over him like that. It was overwhelming, like being under a magnifying glass, scrutinized by a being far beyond his understanding. Suddenly, another chimera ant worker approached. It bowed its head low, and to his utter disbelief, the creature spoke.
