Yu Yuanshan, the nephew of the Clan leader of the Yu Family, had a challenging upbringing. From a young age, he was subjected to distress and bullying. He eked out a meager existence, carefully rationing what little sustenance he had managed to scavenge. The devastating blow to his family came with the onslaught of the "Flame Phoenix," an Earth-ranked beast that left a trail of destruction across the western territories of his homeland, claiming the lives of numerous great sects and families. It took the combined might of Spirit transformation stage experts to finally bring down the beast, leaving Yuanshan as the sole survivor of his lineage. His fortuitous escape from the chaos led him to a hidden treasure, although his inheritance was limited to a mystical artifact that granted him the ability to cloak himself from the world.

Curious and excited, Yuanshan requested the system to generate a background to his liking, and soon the background of the system shifted accordingly.

The scenery transformed gradually. At first, a rugged landscape emerged, adorned with towering mountains. Then, lush greenery and thick vegetation appeared, creating a serene environment. Slowly, somber grey clouds blanketed the land, casting a peaceful yet gloomy atmosphere. Small mists and fog delicately veiled the vegetation, creating an ethereal scene. As the winds picked up, the leaves of the trees danced and rustled incessantly. Before long, a delightful rain began to cascade over the entire landscape, followed by the rumble of thunder. The backdrop underwent a dramatic shift. From a young age, Yuanshan had always cherished these atmospheric changes and weather patterns, finding joy even as the clouds began to gather.
