Back at the office, the atmosphere shifted from anxious to urgent. David was already on the phone, speaking in hushed tones. When he hung up, he turned to them, his expression serious.
"We need to discuss Ruddy's next move," David said, his voice grave. "I just got word from a reliable source that he's reaching out to some of our biggest investors, trying to sway them against us."
"Damn it," Mike muttered, running a hand through his hair. "We can't let him succeed. What's the plan?"
"We need to solidify our investor relationships," David replied. "If we can show them our commitment and the strength of our business, we can counteract Ruddy's influence."
"I'll reach out to them personally," Kiara suggested, her voice steady. "I can reassure them of our plans and commitment. If they hear it from me, they'll know we're serious."
"I'll help," Mike offered. "Let's create a solid presentation showcasing our business strengths and community impact."
