Ethan bid John farewell as his wings came out, about to fly. John held his hand and said in a low tone, "Ethan, my man, please promise me that you'll come back to me?".
"Yes, John, I will come back when I succeed in this mission," Ethan replied with a promising smile. Then he flew away while John waved at him.
At Mr John's house.
Mr John and his children were sitting in the sitting room while Ethan stood with a sword at his side.
"Mr. John, I will come back when my mission is complete. But for now, I need to leave. Staying here when there is danger elsewhere is a threat to my destiny and other people as well. As for the seven, they see hiding a weakness."
Mr john cleared his throat and replied" Ethan it is okay, you need to go but promise me you will come back when you succeed.
"Yes, I will come back when I am done with this mission. He walked up to Elena kissed her on the cheek and whispered in her ear" I love you".
He also kissed the girls on the cheek and said with a smile, "Don't worry, I will come back soon and we will play more hide and seek."
Elena was about to cry but held her emotions, Ethan stepped out of Mr. John's house, the weight of his new mission heavy on his mind. The sword hung at his side, its presence radiating a quiet power. As he glanced toward the distant horizon where the village lay, he felt a familiar rush of energy stir within him.
Behind him, the children who had been playing in the street suddenly froze, their wide eyes locked onto him. Ethan inhaled deeply, feeling the sensation ripple down his spine. A moment later, his wings unfurled, massive, glowing, and otherworldly. They stretched out, shimmering in the daylight, catching the sunlight.
The children gasped in awe, their tiny faces lit up with wonder. Some pointed, others stood rooted to the spot, unable to tear their eyes away.
"Is he an angel?" one whispered, her voice filled with surprise.
Ethan smiled faintly but said nothing. He flapped his wings once, twice, and effortlessly lifted into the air. As he ascended, their astonished voices faded, and the village captured his full attention.
He was sad that he had to leave all he loved to answer the call of destiny, but he was ready for anything and the challenges ahead.
