Swiping the card through the slot on the door, it unlocked.

Neat Jack thought with a smile seeing the door unlocked after using the card key. Jack move, let's get our stuff in first before you start gazing again.

Pfft, like you weren't gazing earlier.

Boys, a familiar voice called out from behind them.

Oh miss Jazzy, she's really serious about looking out for us. Lex thought.

I forgot to give you guys this. She said opening her palm which revealed wrist watches.

Oh, that makes a lot more sense. Lex thought again getting rid of his earlier thought of miss Jazzy checking up on them.

This aren't normal time telling watches, infact that's the least of their functions. With this watches you'll be able to keep track on your grades, receive and transfer Quaks (money) which you'll be earning for completing basic duties as students or from school competitions and all that. You'll also receive messages from school teachers and workers via the wrist watches, but you can't send out messages. And lastly they will be used to monitor your MC cells (MUTANT CELLS).

I think I'll have to explain what MC CELLS are to those of us who are probably new to it. MC CELLS or MUTANT CELLS are like the fuel or energy in Humans that help us perform our extraordinary capabilities. The MC CELLS allows us to perform big and powerful skills. The more effective or powerful the skill or attack used, the more MC CELLS consumed. The MC CELLS will regenerate after an hour or so, and the amount of MC CELLS in an individual will grow overtime. Most importantly having more MC CELLS than another person is only an advantage when properly utilized.

The boys took the watch from her and put it on. After 5 seconds the number 0 appeared on Jack's watch, signifying that he was a Grade 0 ability user and had no MC CELLS, because he does not have an ability. While Lex's watch displayed the number 1 signifying he was still a Grade 1 ability user and only has few Mutant Cells.

Ok I believe I don't have any other thing for you boys, she said squinting her eyes as she racked her brain, ok that's all I'll be in my office.

With all that concluded, the boys took their baggage into their new dorm room. After stepping in, it never seemed like the boys would stop gazing soon. It felt like every hour or minute they spent in this school, their would be something that would put them in awe.

Jack just look at this place.

Yh lex it's so damn huge, I mean this should be considered a damn house.

The dorm room had a well furnished living room, as well as a spacious kitchen, including two bathrooms and one bed room, containing four separate beds each for one student.

Come on Lex let's unpack. We can take a look around when we're done. Jack said trying to free himself and Lex from their almost constant reoccurring gaze. Shaking off the feeling, Lex got to work unpacking, and after what felt like a long tiring ride to school, the boys were now able to relax. Jack laid on the sofa in the living room, while Lex went through all the rooms in the dorm, he was the adventurous type. After probably 5 minutes looking around the dorm, he decided to relax as well.

Man, can't wait to start class, I really have to improve my ability.

Jack, what about the present from grandpa, aren't you gonna open it up. Lex asked excitedly.

Yeah, I plan on doing that but it would have to wait after I get a good rest. What about yours, don't tell me you left it at home.

Oh, I'll be right back, lemme go get it. Lex jumps up from the sofa, and heads to the bedroom.

Coming out, Lex was holding something on his hand, well it looked like he was holding something, but no matter how hard you look you would only see the surface of his palm.

Jack had a furrowed brow while he looked at his brother curiously.

Ok I get it now, I think Lex has finally lost it.

Jack muttered to his imaginable audience.

Wait for it, Lex said with a smile revealing his bare palm.

Slowly, a device started to form on his palm, and after some seconds the device could be fully seen.

Wow, Lex you actually brought it. You're getting pretty good with your ability.

Thanks Jack, it's all in here Lex said using his index finger to touch his head.

Lex had gotten his ability two days ago, and he has began developing it. Thank God he got his ability early and at the right time, cos am not sure we would be in school right now.

After Grandpa had gotten the news about Lex getting his ability, he decided to pay us a surprise visit, after what felt like a year. Grandpa always came with a little extra something everytime he visited, I guess that's the reason he rarely visits. He gave Lex and I a gift each, and the object Lex is currently holding up is his gift.

Jack sometimes I don't get why you always narrate to yourself, it's getting weird. I hope our dorm room mates would be able to tolerate it.

Jack could not complete his final words, because the dorm room door had swing open, and they both could see two boys making their way into the room.

The boy who was talking stopped, after seeing Lex and Jack.

Who are you guys and how did you both get in here ? The boy was currently walking towards Jack and Lex with a menacing look. Jack's heart raced, and he was almost visibly shaking, but Lex still maintained composure as he tried hard to hide his fear.

Relax, they are just our dorm room mates. didn't you read the notification on your watch. The other boy said before walking to one of the seats by the corner.

Halting his step, the boy now had a smile on his face, and stretched his hand out for a handshake while introducing himself.

Sup, the names Jin Clark, but you can call me Jin. Jin held his hand out requesting for a handshake from Jack, but Jack was hesitant due to Jin's sudden change in attitude.

What's going on, is this guy serious cos I can remember like a second ago he looked like he wanted to rip our heads off, and now he's had a mood swing of some sort, and he's now all friendly? Jack thought to himself rhetorically.

Seeing the awkward situation,Lex had given Jin a handshake, this quickly put Jack out of his trance.

Hey, I'm Lex Hops.

Nice, and you are ..... Jin asked with a smile waiting for Jack to reply. Although the smile was still creeping Jack.

I'm Jack Hops. Jack replied.

Hold the buzz are you guys somehow related.

Yes we are. Lex answered.

I don't get it, if you guys are related you both aren't meant to be in the same dorm room, maybe the system had a glitch or something or someone made a mistake or something, but that's still unlikely.

Jin's furrowed his brow in confusion of the situation.

We are step Bros, Lex said clearing the situation.

Oh, that makes sense, I think. He said while he used his hand to thump his head.

Lex placed the device he had received as a gift on his chest but he had not activated it yet.

Hey Lex, what's that. Jin asked curiously, his facial expression telling he was trying to recognise the object Lex placed on his Chest.

Oh, this is a gift from my Grandpa. I think it's called an MC Am.....

Amplifier Jin said recognising it a bit.

Yeah, that's right Jin but I think this one's a bit dif...

Different Jin had once again stopped Lex from completing his words.

Lex was a bit annoyed cos Jin was constantly cutting him off, but he chose not to say anything to that regard.

Hmmm, I might not know a lot about tech and stuff, but this amplifier is way different. Your grandpa must have been a genius.

Oh, sorry about that, Jin spoke with his eyes still fixed on the MC amplifier. Damn it looks totally mod...

Turning around, the one who had spoken was the boy who sat at the corner of the room, who was originally working on something before he got interested in the conversation between Jin and Lex over the MC Amplifier.

This guys really know how to cut people off Lex muttered annoyed, but was glad he wasn't the the one cut off this time. Standing up and heading towards the other boys, the boy walked calmly, putting one hand behind his back.
