Together, they walked to the mansion, Kain leading the way with casual steps while Viktor trailed behind, his presence a silent, watchful shadow.

As they reached the grand double doors, Kain pushed the door open, stepping inside while dragging the luggage with him.

Viktor hesitated at the threshold, his sharp gaze sweeping across the darkened landscape one final time. The stillness of the night held its breath, broken only by the faint whisper of rustling leaves.

Satisfied, though still wary, he cast a lingering glance over his shoulder before stepping into the mansion. The heavy door closed with a resonant thud, sealing him inside.
