Scott's smirk faded. He pushed Jo's hand away gently and stepped forward, closing the distance between him and Marius. His voice was low, controlled. "You think you know me? You don't. You don't know any fucking thing about me or what I'm thinking. So if you've got a problem with me, say it straight, or leave me the hell alone."

Marius' sneer faltered for just a second, but he quickly masked it with another glare. "You'll see soon enough," he muttered before shoving past Scott and stalking down the corridor.

Jo let out a loud breath, his shoulders relaxing. . "That guy's unhinged," he said, shaking his head. "He got issues. What's his problem with you?"

Scott ran a hand through his hair, still watching Marius' retreating figure. "I don't know. And honestly, I don't care."

Jo snorted. "Oh, you should care. The guy's got a vendetta, and for some reason, you're the target."
