Chapter seventy two

Alex walked through the front door of his mansion, trying to act as normal as possible. He knew that Sophia had been kidnapped, but he didn't want his family to know about it yet. He didn't want them to get excited and try to stop him from paying the ransom.

As he entered the living room, he saw his family sitting on the couch, watching TV. They all looked up at him, expecting him to say something.

"Hey, where's Sophia?" his mother asked, looking around the room.

Alex shrugged. "I don't know. I thought she was with you guys."

Mrs Sabastian scoffed. "With us? Don't be ridiculous, you know she would never sit with us. Besides, haven't you two been together all day?" She retorted.

Alex sighed. His mother was right. Sophia and Alex had been together throughout the day, so there was no way they'd admit she was with them.
