MORBID, BUT FLUFFY KIND OF LOVE

RAIN

"I am so scared," I whisper.

"Of what?" Liam whispers back.

We are lying in front of the fire, hugging me from the back.

"Of how good this feels," I swallow, wishing I was as strong as the flames. "I have secrets, I am not ready to tell them. I don't know if I will ever tell them to you."

He is quiet and I wonder if he has reached his limit.

"I have secrets too," he whispers, pulling me flush against him as he sighs, his breath in my hair. "But I want to tell you everything."

"You don't have to," I touch his arm which is wrapped around my torso.

"I am scared too, rain."

"Why?"

"Because you might hate me," he confesses. "I did something and I am feeling awful because I don't regret it. I am a bad person."

"You could never be a bad person," I rub my feet with his. "Not to me, ever."

He laughs bitterly and then exhales. "I killed your whole pack."
