She has been avoiding him. She promised to avoid him for a week or so after the day she ran into him and his fiancée at the restaurant. But he had to text her that morning to say he needed her help.
She should have ignored it, but she was scared. She was scared that something bad had happened to him and she would be the one responsible for the calamity. That was what made her run to his room after she read his message.
"Why didn't you text her?" Abi asked and dropped the towel.
"Who?" Leo asked.
"Your fiancée. She won't be happy I'm doing this for you," Abi made an excuse.
"It's just some help," Leo hissed.
"You're late," Abi pointed out.
"I'm not going to the office today," Leo replied, and she froze again. Does that mean he would be with her in the house all through?! What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
She would see his annoying face all day? But he had told her that he goes to work every day. Why was today different? Or is he tired or something? Is he sick?
"So, where would you go?" Abi asked because she doesn't want him around her at all.
"You're coming with me to France," Leo declared, and she stared at him. She didn't say anything because she was thinking of an excuse to use not to go with him. She would go crazy if they were in the same car, not to talk of being together for hours.
"What? You have a date with him?" Leo was back to his coldness.
"It's not that. My mum is visiting today," Abi quickly found an excuse.
"Oh," Leo said. He wanted to take her to somewhere beautiful and buy her a lot of things. Darcy had told him she asked him to return the latest bag he got her because it was too expensive.
Darcy also told her that she doesn't take pleasure in money and material things, unlike his fiancée. Leo was angry when Ophelia called him to get her the same bag he got his wife. Out of anger, he had blocked her after warning her never to ask him for such again.
"Where's your shirt?" Abi's voice brought him back to reality. In his eyes, she was really pretty. She was wearing a short lace gown that was green in color. It was armless, and the design was simple and beautiful. The simplicity made it look nice on her.
She was wearing a little makeup. Her eyeliner made her more beautiful, and the gloss on her lip was just perfect. A silver block earring was on both ears. Her ring was on her fourth finger, and a smile found its way to his lips. When he realized it was all an act for her mother to see, the smile fell.
Leo was already standing on his feet by the time Abi turned around with his shirt in her hand. The shirt was very light, but she knew it was made of the best quality. She also knew it would be damn expensive because her husband wears designers.
Her eyes caught the necklace that had an 'O' initial on his neck, and she scoffed. 'I thought his fingers hurt', She thought and brushed the thought away. She had the thought that he might have worn it days ago.
He was tall, and her fingers began to fidget as she tried to do his buttons. Leo displayed quiet confidence when he saw that. That means he has an effect on her!
"Do I make you nervous?" His deep voice resounded in her ear.
"No," Abi said quickly and managed to fix one button after what seemed like forever! She bit her lips and shut her eyes after realizing she would still zip up his trousers and buckle his belt. That was some sort of punishment to her. She raised her head up slightly and raised it down back.
She could swear that she saw her husband twitch his lip. Was he mocking her or what?! He would pay for it. But first, she would like to keep her sanity. He was driving her crazy with his body. Her fingers kept finding means of touching his chest, and she felt his muscle.
'Two more buttons to go', Her chest rose, and she sighed.
"Are you tired?" Leo asked with concern when he heard her breathe so heavily.
"Of course not," She blurted out and saw him smile. She raised her head up again and caught him looking at her. She took her eyes away immediately and heard a soft chuckle from him.
His brows were so dark and full, and the dot made him look hotter. He has a birthmark between his left eye and the bridge of his nose. His nose was sharp and long. His lips were slightly parted as he watched his little wife closely. He doesn't know why she was so nervous, and he would tease her till she walks out of his room. He would spend her day with her whether she likes it or not. He would join the meeting with her mother. He wants to know what she would say about him to her. He was a wicked husband, but he wanted to hear what his little wife would say about him.
Leo began to breathe heavily after some time. She was taking forever to button up his shirt. She kept touching him. Her touch ignited his shaft, hardening it instantly. The bulge in his pants grew, straining against the zipper.
He was embarrassed so much and prayed she would never look down. The heat of his erection radiated through the fabric.
Suddenly, she looked at his face, and he held his breath. "Are you okay? You're sweating," She said innocently. That moment, Leo wanted to do many bad things to her, even though he doesn't like her romantically.
He wanted her to please him, and he wanted to have her for himself. He was greedy, and he loves his greediness.
"I'm fine," Leo replied and wiped his sweat off with the back of his hand.
His swollen shaft throbbed with anticipation. He was excited. Why doesn't she have to make him so hard in the morning?
Why does she have to come to his room looking so fresh and sexy, even though he knows she doesn't have any thoughts of doing so. He hated that she was so innocent while he was the big bad wolf.
His dick lengthened, pulsing with anticipation. "Abigail?!" Abi was alarmed to hear her mom's voice from a distance. She shot Leo a look and ran out of his room with a blush.
Leo watched her leave and thanked his ancestors for the arrival of her mother. He doesn't know what to say if she was about to attend to his zipper and find out that he was horny.
What would he have said… "I'm sorry. You made me so hard," He muttered and laughed like a fool.
He locked his door and began to attend to himself. He can't see his grandmother that way. It's been a long time since he pleased himself by stroking his dick when he was horny.
His dick sprang out of his trousers, and he sighed when he took a good look at it. He would have said that Abi took pleasure in making him suffer silently if she wasn't innocent of what's happening to him.
He began to stroke himself and began to moan out as he did. His fingers were wrapped around his cock with his eyes closed. He was able to cum after some minutes.
He cleaned up and brushed his hair. From the way his little wife was drying his hair, he could conclude that she loves it.
Abi froze when she saw her husband descending from the stairs. She has lied to her mother that he went to the office. She didn't even know her mother was coming that day. From one lie to another.
Ava was spending the day with her friends at the beach, so she couldn't come to see her sister.
"Your wife told me you went to work," Abi's mother raised her brow at her daughter.
"I decided to work from home today, mother. It's still work after all," Leo laughed, and his mother-in-law joined in the laughter. Abi stared at them with surprise on her face. Why would her mother laugh with him so much?
"So, what bad things did my wife tell you about me?" Leo placed his hand on Abi's lap.
"I heard you had your wedding in Singapore," Abi's mother smiled widely. Leo furrowed his brows when he heard that. Abi's mother noticed but she didn't say anything.
She just watched him closely and continued speaking, "Abigail had always wanted to get married to her husband in Singapore ever since she was little. I was happy for her when she got her dream to reality. But it was unfortunate that I was not there."
"I'm sorry, mother," Leo said plainly and looked at the floor.
"They were in the living room. He and Abi were occupying a two-seater sofa while his mother-in-law was sitting on a single sofa.
"So, has Abi cooked for you yet? Her food is the best in this world," Abi's mother said and saw her daughter blush.
"Oh, mother!," She blushed and looked at her mother in embarrassment.
"Yes, she has. It's really delicious," Leo replied with a smile.
"You both look like you're going on a date," Abi turned redder after hearing her mother's words.
"Were you painting him? That's so romantic," Her mother teased her.
"Not him! It's Julian," Abi blurted out. She covered her mouth in shock after realizing what she had said.
"He paid for it. We're just friends," She said quickly to sort out their thoughts.
"Can you give me and my daughter some space, Leonardo? I need to talk to her," Abi's mother said gently.
Abi started preparing to tell her mother about her secret when she heard her. It's better to be late than never.
"What is it?" Her mother asked after taking her time to inspect her daughter.
"I'm pregnant, mom," Abi revealed with a shaky voice. She was scared of what her mother would say. She was scared that her mother would rebuke her or go as far as disowning her. Abi closed her eyes when her mother took a deep breath and sighed. She was prepared for the worst now.
"Is he treating you well?" Her mother asked her.
"Yes," Abi replied. Why would she say no to that? He was her husband, after all, and she had to make him look good in her mother's eyes, whether she likes it or not.
"Does he love you?" Her mother asked her.
"Mom," Abi sighed.
"Answer me, Abigail. I'm more worried about your mental and emotional health than that baby you're carrying. You're my child before you got married to that strange man. I never saw him with you all my life. I wanted to believe you for a second, but I couldn't. He doesn't love you, Abi," Her mother pointed out.
Abi bit her lips and tried not to cry. Her mother's words pierced through her, and a tear fell down her cheek.
"I'm happy," She said clearly. She had to convince her mother.
"You're not," Her mother pointed out. "And you never had a wedding in Singapore. Did you really have a wedding?" Her mother asked with her gaze on her. It was sharp and hard.
"We had a lawyer, mom," Abi began to reveal everything.
"I was so late at finding the scandal. That's why you had to get married, right. I'm so mad you and your sister decided to keep it away from me. I'm so mad, Abi," Her mother sniffed and opened her arms to hug her daughter.
Abi ran into her mother's warm embrace and buried her face there.
"Do you still like Julian?" Her mother asked.
"Leonardo told me I can see him. I think I should be his girlfriend once again," Abi said, and her mother nodded.
"Do whatever makes you happy, baby," Her mother stood up from her seat and went to clean her tears with her hand. She began to pat her back slightly with a smile.
"And don't forget to call me whenever you want to talk. I'm your mother, Abi. I'm your best friend," Her mother said.
"Thank you, mom," Abi smiled at her mother.
They spent some time together, and Abi ended up showing her the house. Her mother left when Abi complained of tiredness. She was really tired, but when she turned around to go to her room, she met her husband, who looked very angry.
"Why did you lie that we went to Singapore for a wedding?" He snapped fiercely. His eyes turned cold and hard. His features contained anger.
Abi was confused. What's wrong with that? The lie didn't even get them anywhere.
"I had to," Abi replied with a scoff.
"No one asked you to come see my mother. You made it worse. I already told her you weren't home," Leo heard his wife hiss, and he stood up from his seat and scowled.
"Did you really read my terms and conditions or you just skipped it and said you were done reading?" Leo's demeanor darkened.
"Of course I read them," Abi chafed with a frown.
"No, you didn't. If you did, you won't have brought up Singapore! From now on, stay out of my sight! I don't want to see you again, and you cannot leave this damn house!" Leo blasted angrily and left the room in anger.
Abi watched her husband leave and hissed. She was thinking of going back to his terms and conditions to read about Singapore, but she just dropped the thoughts. An idea came to her head. Since he was scared about her mentioning Singapore, that would be her favorite word to use till they divorce and go their way.
"Miss Abi, breakfast is ready," Butler Lee announced.
"Really?" Abi's face brightened as she went to the dining room.
"Eat with me," Abi gestured to the maids that kept a stony face.
"I'm sorry, Miss Abi. The boss is around, so I'm afraid the maids won't be able to join you for breakfast today," Butler Lee spoke on their behalf.
'Ah! It's because of that cold fool', Abi frowned and began to eat her food. All the maids left, but Butler Lee was the only one remaining. Abi looked at him and told him to speak.
"If I may, Miss Abi, I know why the boss hates to hear about Singapore," Butler Lee spoke in a low voice.
"Don't tell me! That's what he would be hearing from me for the rest of his damn life," Abi thought to herself, but aloud she said, "Tell me. I want to know."
Butler Lee moved closer to her and began to tell her, "Boss has post-traumatic stress disorder."
Abi furrowed her brows when she heard that. What does that mean?
"When your husband was a kid, he was kidnapped in Singapore and tortured. He faced physical, emotional, and sexual abuse as a child, leading to long-term psychological effects. Don't be angry if he hates to hear about that place. That place traumatized him," Butler Lee explained in a hushed manner.
"Actually, it's a miracle that you were impregnated by the boss. Sir Roman had said that his inability to impregnate women was due to the trauma he experienced sexually by the people who kidnapped him," Butler Lee elaborated.
Abi was shocked as Butler Lee told her everything.
"How long have you been here?" Abi asked him. She was surprised that he knows everything about her husband while she doesn't know anything.
"Thirty years, Miss Abi. I worked with the boss's parents before I came here. I knew him when he was still a kid and when he was kidnapped," Butler Lee confirmed.
Abi repeated, surprised, "Oh."
"And he was also—"
But Butler Lee suddenly changed the subject, "Don't forget to eat the vegetables, especially the greens, Miss Abi. A pregnant woman needs fruits and vegetables the most. I'll make freshly squeezed orange juice for you and ask the maids to bring it."
Butler Lee quickly exited, leaving Abi surprised by the sudden change in topic.
As she looked up, she saw her husband approaching.
"Are you angry?" he asked, his concern evident.
Abi's spoon hovered in mid-air, suspended by his unexpected question.
