After sorting out the urgent issues Liam took out the Heart of Oasis from his inventory and inspected it.
[Heart Of Oasis]
Resource Enhancement: Increases the yield of resources by 50% within a 30-mile radius.
Healing Aura: Gradually restores health to all beings within the oasis area over time.
Blessing of Fertility: Improves the growth rate of crops and wildlife, promoting a thriving ecosystem.
Boost of Vitality: Gives a boost of vitality to all being living in the land.
As Liam activated the Heart of Oasis, it dissolved into a fine, shimmering dust that spread across the landscape like a gentle breeze.
As Liam activated the Heart of Oasis, it dissolved into a fine, shimmering dust that spread across the landscape like a gentle breeze
Vibrant life began to flourish around him: the trees appeared greener, the flowers bloomed with newfound vibrancy, and even the sound of water flowing through the oasis seemed to grow louder and more joyful.
Nearby, Rorgash, who had been supervising the workers, paused and looked around, feeling the shift in the atmosphere. "My lord," he said, his eyes wide with wonder, "the oasis... it's alive!"
Liam smiled, knowing that this was just the beginning.
With all of that taken care Liam open the caches he had obtained.
[150k units of wood obtained, 50k units of Iron ingots obtained, 50k units of food obtained, 25k units of leather obtained, .....]
[1000 mana essence obtained, 1000 warrior essence obtained, 1000 blood essence obtained, 1000 beast essence obtained, 1000 undead essence obtained,...]
Liam had obtained 1000 of every type of essence and tons of resources.
Along with all the loot he had gained from the battle and the resources his workers had harvested during his absence, his warehouse was now overflowing with resources.
Thus he decided to go on a spending spree upgrading and building whatever he had.
Village hall (5-8)
Bestiary (1-5)
Beast enclosure(3-8)
Orc barracks (3-7)
Throne(3)
Arcane hall(2)
Altar of sacrifice(2)
Sanctum of battle spirits(2)
Brick walls(5)
With these upgrades, Liam had depleted most of his resources, leaving only a small reserve for the necessary construction of living quarters.
He understood that a well-fed, well-rested tribe was crucial for their survival and success, especially with threats still lurking beyond the oasis.
*Time Skip*
It had been 40 days since the lords had transmigrated on the planet.
Grothar and the orcs had sent a message of their departure from the Ironblood camp a few days ago.
Liam sitting on his throne in the hall was just scrolling through the chats. The chat was bustling as usual.
[LordRagnar]: Has anyone managed to recruit that gold-rank demon? I heard some lords were close, but it seems like everyone dropped the ball.
[LadyElysia]: Yeah, I was right there, but we got ambushed by a rival faction. So frustrating!
[DemonHunter92]: Same here! The moment we were about to strike a deal, a shit load of paladins and priests flooded the area. No one saw that coming.
[Lord_Larry]: Hahahaha told ya all it would be fun watching em try
[IronFist_Krol]: I guess I was worried for nothing. Lol
[PhoenixKnight]: Honestly, it feels like a trap. The system gave us a huge opportunity, but the timing was just off. What were they thinking?
Suddenly, a system notification chimed in, cutting through the chatter.
[System Notification]
Congratulations, Lords! You have successfully completed one month in this realm. As a reward for your perseverance and to encourage further growth, a new mandatory task has been issued:
Expand your influence by conquering or forming relations with 5 local settlements within the next 2 months. Failure to do so will result in penalties. Good luck!
[GrimReaper]: Wow, a mandatory task? This is going to get interesting. We need to work together, everyone!
[LadyElysia]: Conquering settlements might be tough, but forming relations could be easier. Any ideas?
[IronFist_Krol]: I've got a few territories in mind that might be ripe for the taking. heheheheh.
....
Liam, sitting in his main hall, reviewed the new system task that had been assigned to all lords. His mind was already racing with ideas.
Calling for Rorgash, Liam leaned back in his chair, his eyes narrowing in thought as he considered the best course of action.
Moments later, the large orc entered the room, his heavy footfalls echoing.
"My lord," Rorgash greeted, bowing his head respectfully.
"Rorgash, I need information," Liam said, looking up. "How many settlements are near our camp? What do we know about their locations, affiliations, their strength, and how they view new forces like us?"
"I want a detailed report on everything"
Rorgash's brow furrowed in concentration as he considered the question. "There are 8 settlements within a reasonable distance of our oasis, my lord.
"We've had some minor contact with a few of them. Here's what we know so far."
The Emberstone Tribe
Location: West of the oasis, nestled in a mountain range.
Affiliation: Neutral to hostile.
Strength: 500 warriors, skilled in fire-based magic.
Attitude: The Emberstone Tribe is a warrior tribe of beastmen, known for their pride and strength. They don't like outsiders but might respect those who prove themselves in battle.
The Verdant Glade
Location: Southeast, hidden deep within a forest.
Affiliation: Neutral, leaning friendly.
Strength: Approximately 300 elves, with skilled archers and druids who command the forces of nature.
Attitude: The elves are isolationists, but they are not openly hostile. They have no interest in expansion but may be willing to negotiate for resources or mutual defense. However, their leaders are wary of newcomers, especially orcs.
The Blackrock Fort
Location: Northeast, in a fortified canyon.
Affiliation: Hostile
Strength: 800 soldiers, led by a warlord. Mixed humans and dwarves.
Attitude: The Blackrock Fort is a militaristic settlement ruled by a ruthless warlord. They are known for raiding nearby camps and enslaving those they defeat.
The Stonehoof Clan
Location: Southwest, near a river crossing.
Affiliation: Neutral.
Strength: 400 centaur warriors.
Attitude: The centaurs are pragmatic and value trade and resources. They are neutral to most newcomers and may be willing to negotiate if they see a benefit in it. However, they are fierce defenders of their land and do not tolerate aggression.
The Warhammer Clan
Location: Southwest, in the rocky foothills.
Affiliation: Neutral, leaning aggressive.
Strength: 350 warriors, known for their berserkers.
Attitude: The Warhammer Clan is a smaller but highly aggressive tribe, often engaged in skirmishes with nearby groups. They prize strength in battle, and their leader is a brutal warlord who respects only those stronger than himself.
The Ironhide Tribe
Location: Northwest, near a large forest clearing.
Affiliation: Neutral.
Strength: 300 warriors, known for their heavy infantry.
Attitude: The Ironhide Tribe is a defensive and pragmatic group, known for their durable armor and combat prowess. Remains mostly neutral
The Shadowtusk Clan
Location: Southeast, in a series of underground tunnels and caverns.
Affiliation: Secretive, neutral.
Strength: 300 warriors, skilled in ambush and stealth tactics.
Attitude: The Shadowclaw Clan of orcs operates from the shadows, preferring guerilla warfare over direct confrontation. They differ extremely from traditional orcs.
"My lord some days ago I had also captured some scouts from the Blackrock Fort. I think they might be thinking of invading our camp in the near future" Rorgash added.
*Time skip of 2 weeks*
Two weeks passed swiftly. Grothar and the rest of the Ironblood orcs had finally returned to the oasis, integrating smoothly with Liam's forces.
During this time, Liam had focused on expanding his influence and securing valuable alliances.
He had successfully initiated trade negotiations with two local settlements.
The Stonehoof Tribe and the Verdant Glade
It was all because of Elara's wits that he was able to start negotiations with those two.
Grothar greeted Liam with a firm nod, handing him a bundle of blueprints and several crates filled with resources.
"These are the blueprints my lord had asked to ransom for the human viscount and soldiers."
Liam unrolled them, his eyes took in the details of what they had received from the humans in exchange for the Viscount and captured soldiers.
Heavy Siege Drills: Large, reinforced drills powered by mana crystals, designed to burrow through the thickest of walls with precision
Catapult: A powerful siege weapon designed to hurl large stones or fiery projectiles over long distances. It was perfect for bombarding enemy walls from a safe distance and creating chaos among their defenses.
Grothar spoke with a grin, "These will give us the edge we need when the time comes to break through their walls. Simple, but deadly effective."
Liam nodded in satisfaction. These new siege tools would be vital for any upcoming war, giving his forces the capability to break through even the toughest fortresses.
Liam made his way to the Trade Center for Lords. He posted his request for a Siege Workshop blueprint. He listed the price as negotiable, eager to see what offers would come in.
Within moments, three offers flashed across the screen:
Ironfist_Kroll: "I can provide you with the blueprint for 700 Warrior Essence, 300 Mana Essence, and 40k units of iron ingots."
Lord_Larry: "I have the blueprint and will trade for 600 Warrior Essence, 200 Mana Essence, and 300 Beast Essence. No strings attached; just a straightforward trade. Consider this a gesture of goodwill among lords."
Blackthorn_Reed: "I can offer you a Siege Workshop for 350 Warrior Essence, 300 Mana Essence, and 400 Beast Essence. However, I would like to negotiate for some of the armors you had put up some days ago."
Liam considered the offers carefully, weighing the costs.
Liam sent a confirmation message to Blackthorn_Reed:
"I accept your offer for the blueprint. Once my armors are crafted, you will be given the first priority."
With the deal finalized, the resources were deducted from his warehouse, and shortly after, a notification appeared indicating that the blueprint has arrived in his inventory.
With the workshop secured, Liam decided to gather his key advisors—Grothar, Uldren, and Rorgash—to discuss their next steps in preparation for their next step
"Everyone, gather around. We have important matters to discuss regarding our future plans."
"The trade negotiations with the Ironhoofs and Verdant Glades will conclude tomorrow," he began, glancing around at the attentive faces of Grothar, Uldren, Grima and Rorgash.
"Elara is handling the negotiations, and the signs are promising. There's a good chance we will secure valuable alliances
Pausing for a moment, he continued, "However, there's troubling news. The Blackrock Fort has attacked the Shadowtusks, and they're now reaching out for assistance from nearby forces. This could escalate into a larger conflict."
Rorgash furrowed his brow. "If the Blackrock Fort is moving against the Shadowclaws, they could turn their attention to us next. We must be ready."
Uldren nodded, his expression thoughtful. "We should consider aiding the Shadowtusk. Perhaps we might be able to take them under us completely."
Grothar chimed in, "My lord I suggest we smash those arrogant human army to pieces and claim their land and territory"
"No Grothar, we are in no state to govern over another territory far from our own" Uldren interjected
Liam rubbed his chin, contemplating their choices. "We have a few days before any significant conflict arises.
"Perhaps we should send a scout to assess the situation at the Shadowtusk camp. Gathering intelligence will help us make a more informed decision. Meanwhile, we can finalize our trade agreements and prepare our forces."
"Hasten the construction of the sieges. Increase the intensity of training and war drills. Prepare the Orc riders. Increase the weapon and potion productions" Liam ordered
"Sent out scouts right this moment."
"At your command my lord" all of them said in unison.
With that, the meeting dispersed, and the camp buzzed with urgency. Rorgash immediately took charge of organizing the scouts, ensuring that the best would be sent to assess the Shadowclaw situation.
Grima gathered the craftsmen, urging them to expedite the construction of the siege equipment, while Grothar began outlining an intensified training regimen for the troops.
As the sun began to set, Liam stepped outside his tent, feeling the energy of the camp around him.
Orcs were already preparing for the evening drills, the sound of weapons clashing echoing in the air.
He felt a swell of pride in his people, knowing that they were rising to the challenge.
