Luc POV
On the balcony of his hotel suite, Luc unbuttoned his shirt collar after dinner.
A fruitless afternoon hunting his brother at Vichy Skincare Laboratories only made him more eager for tonight's diversion. He didn't even feel like severely punishing the people who led him to believe the information about his brother's location. As he knew, Dimitri had mastered the art of evading notice. He might have gotten wind of Luc in the building and somehow made his escape. Mireille and Sebastian suggested returning to the labs in a day or two. Luc thought that a fine idea.
In the meantime, Irina was, even now, pampering herself with some Vichy products in preparation for tonight's delights. Luc preferred to take the night air and be one with the dark. So invigorating. The "children of the night" that Dracula spoke of, the wolves, hadn't made any music, but Luc enjoyed the wind against his skin and the sounds of the city.
