Chapter 163: A Hole In My Heart

Luc POV

With two women, his longtime love-turned-betrayer and the human witch, holding him up, he mustered up his dignity and gazed into his brother's eyes.

Would Dimitri kill him, after all?

The silence stretched out into infinity. Luc had to struggle to stay upright. He'd never been beaten this badly. Every muscle in his body screamed out for relief. Or release from life. His armor hung on him like a thousand-pound weight and he felt exhausted. Death would be a blessing. NO. He couldn't give up!

Especially not when he still had the power of his mind.

He had to force Dimitri into attempting to kill him in cold blood. To do the unthinkable. Because Dimitri would hesitate.

Even now, staring at his brother's ivory face framed by wild silver locks wandering every which way, he could see the inner war that his brother was fighting: Could he really be Cain to Luc's Abel?

Could he just kill Luc execution-style?
