CHAPTER 1.

Marie Reagan was born in an unknown family as her grandmother refused to tell her who her parents were, she only told her that her parents had died in a ghastly car accident. M hi no joinarie grew up with her grandmother in the countryside and life was so tough for she and her grandmother that she saw herself through college. She got a job with the Dixons after job hunting for a No got a Job with Dixon's grandma. She said excitedly, are you familiar with the company? 

 you got a job where? "Her fist clenched and her face turned red, with a sharp inhale she screamed"

You're not going to take that job, Marie!

Wait, why? She asked in curiosity,

I've told you and that's final…. Granny!!! What's the matter? What's happening to you? Somebody help!!! Marie screamed aloud. Her grandmother held her chest so tight and blacked out.

Doctor! Please, how is she?

Doctor: See me in my office immediately.

Marie followed the doctor to his office.

Doctor: I'm sorry your grandmother was diagnosed with hypertension and requires renal denervation ( surgeries) if not done as soon as possible it may affect her kidney, and heart or even cause a stroke.

Oh my God! Marie cried out loud! 

Doctor, please help me. Where am I supposed to get that kind of money? 

Doctor: Madam, we can only control hypertension for a few days. I'm sorry that's the only thing we can do.

We have to perform the surgery on her or else I'm afraid we may lose her.

Marie's heart pounded on her shoulders, Oh God, I don't want to lose the only family I have. 

Marie walked absentmindedly out of the hospital and was almost hit by a car.

The car stopped and a voice from the car shouted!

Hey! Are you okay?

Ye…. Yes, Marie nodded.

Next time watch the road before crossing the voice said rudely and drove off.

A familiar face walked into the reception. He looks so handsome and breathtaking. OMG, he looks so handsome, Marie Reagan said.

Shut up! Why didn't they tell you that I'm the only son of Mr Dixon and I own this company? Or will own it soon. He said in a low tune.

She remembered the face, it was the rude guy who almost hit her with his car.

I'm sorry Sir, I didn't…. Keep your sorry ass to yourself and meet me in my office right now.

She hurriedly followed him.

Raymond is their Human resources manager and the only son of the Dixons, His father has refused to make him the CEO of the company because of his lousy behavior and now his father is seriously ill and demands that Raymond Dixon must present a wife to him before he can trust him with his company.

Immediately Marie Reagan entered the office Raymond drew her closer to him and whispered.

Everything had happened so fast. She was newly employed in the company when they unexpectedly got married. 

At that time, Raymond's father fell seriously ill. It was then he proposed a fake marriage just to fulfill his father's dying wish. 

They signed a prenup, agreeing to hide their marriage from the public. Their union could be terminated at any time. 

It was an unconventional thing to do. However, Marie Raegan only considered herself lucky at that time. 

Never in a million years did she think she would be living in the same house with her boss. She delightfully agreed. 

After their marriage, everything became rosy for Marie Reagan, she moved into Raymond's mansion, he paid her as agreed, bought a car for her, changed her wardrobe, and also placed her on a monthly allowance, Marie Reagan paid her grandmother's surgery and it was a success, she also bought a bungalow for her grandmother as they were living in an uncompleted building.

After a while, Marie started suffering physical and emotional abuse from Raymond Dixon and his sister who never liked her. From unset Marie paid no attention to all of that since Raymond takes good care of her and her grandmother.

Good morning handsome! Marie's voice woke Raymond from sleep.

I hope you slept well. What are you doing in my room? Raymond asked in shock.

We had an amazing night so why are you surprised? 

Listen I don't have anything to do with you, I was drunk and vulnerable. 

Nothing happened between us, keep that in your small mind.

Marie was disappointed and shocked that what she thought was chemistry was not.

She entered her room and cried so much that she slept off after that.

Marie had mixed feelings as she stared at the medical report, OMG! Why did I let this happen? I'm not supposed to be pregnant! She paced around the room, remembering how terrible this marriage had been. Marie Reagan was a little absent-minded at the moment all she could think of was the doctor's words "Congratulations you're going to be a mom" Suddenly Raymond pinched her arm. His voice came the next second. Come back to earth! What are you thinking about

In the end, she decided to tell Raymond this news. 

She also wanted to tell him that she loved him and that she had forgiven him for the times he had abused her. 

There's something I want to discuss with you. That could wait. I'm going out and won't be home tonight. Marie checked the time and found out that it was already midnight.
