Chapter 15: Ten Years Later

[T/N: Check out our new novel— Douluo: Unrivaled God General, Fooling Qian Renxue At The Start (search by name, it's from our 2nd webnovel account.)]

Half an hour later,

Naobito had gathered all the Zen'in clan sorcerers who weren't away on missions.

"The news about the taming of the shikigami must not be spread. Everything that happened tonight stays with you!"

"And let me remind you—this order comes directly from that boy. You all know the consequences of defiance."

At his words, the sorcerers below him felt a chill run down their spines and nodded hurriedly.

"It's not just you," Naobito continued. "Even the servants who heard anything tonight will have to be dealt with."

By "dealt with," he didn't mean silenced permanently. Some of the sorcerers in the clan were capable of erasing memories from ordinary people within a day. Though they couldn't alter memories, they could wipe out specific events, making it seem like amnesia.

However, doing the same to a sorcerer was nearly impossible. Even if successful, the memories could return. So, for the sorcerers, Naobito's warning was just verbal—but with Mirai's authority behind it, none of them would dare speak carelessly.

...

Meanwhile, at Jujutsu High,

Shoko Ieiri, having just finished her medical training, was on her way back to her room to rest.

As she passed through the long corridors, she noticed two men sitting on the steps at the entrance of the school—Gojo Satoru and their teacher, Yaga Masamichi.

After a brief hesitation, Shoko decided to approach them.

Reaching into her pocket for a cigarette, she glanced at Yaga's back and silently switched it for a lollipop.

"Still mourning an old friend?" she asked as she sat down on the step above them.

Gojo turned to glance at her. "Oh, Shoko, it's you."

Shoko took a seat one step higher, her expression calm. "What are you guys talking about?"

Gojo rested his chin on his hand, a rare hint of maturity in his eyes. "I've been thinking… Being the strongest on your own... doesn't seem to work."

Shoko gave him a flat look. "Speak normally."

Gojo grinned. "I've decided, once I graduate, I'll become a teacher at Jujutsu High."

"You?"

Shoko raised an eyebrow, genuinely surprised. "You're about to graduate, and now you want to go from tormenting your teachers to ruining students?"

"Hey, now," Gojo protested, clenching his fists playfully. "Don't you have any faith in me? I'm sure I'll be the perfect teacher in my students' eyes!"

"What about your clan?" Yaga asked in a serious tone, watching his student with a thoughtful expression.

"They'll manage."

Gojo waved it off confidently. "As long as nothing happens to me, the Gojo family will be just fine."

"By the way, Shoko," Gojo turned to the lollipop-chewing girl. "What do you think about the new Zen'in family head?"

Suguru Geto's parting words had been gnawing at Gojo's mind, making him curious.

Yaga perked up at the question too. It wasn't every day that an eleven-year-old became head of one of the Big Three sorcerer families. It was hard not to be curious.

Shoko's expression shifted slightly. After a brief silence, she spoke quietly, "He's strong."

"In terms of cursed energy... he might even have more than you."

"And the cursed spirit he controls... it's a Special Grade that doesn't appear in any of Jujutsu High's records."

Gojo's eyes widened in surprise. Shoko had called him earlier, urging him to come quickly, but she hadn't gone into detail. Now, hearing her high praise for that kid, Gojo was intrigued.

"Don't you Big Three families have any info on him?" Yaga asked, his expression serious. A Special Grade not recorded in their archives? That was concerning.

"Ordinary people can't see cursed spirits," Gojo explained calmly. "Even among the Big Three, infiltrating another sorcerer family's inner circle isn't easy."

"His awakening of the Ten Shadows Technique was publicly disclosed when the former family head stepped down."

"As for his background, we've picked up bits and pieces from servants in the Zen'in household."

Gojo paused, his playful demeanor fading as he spoke in a more serious tone. "The night before Zen'in Naobito stepped down, that kid killed his own father in the estate."

——————[Time-skip-no-jutsu]

At the Zen'in Estate, ten years had passed since the taming of Mahoraga.

The once slightly immature family head had now grown into a twenty-year-old man.

His messy black hair draped over his shoulders, and his fringe fell just low enough to cover his forehead, revealing only a pair of deep, piercing eyes.

Dressed in a simple black robe, Mirai leaned lazily against the doorframe, flipping through his old notebook with a calm expression.

"Hey, when are we going to go out and have some fun?"

A figure cloaked in black, clearly impatient, complained loudly to Mirai.

Mirai glanced up and smiled slightly. "Soon. We'll be changing locations very soon."

"Really, Mirai!? You're finally going to leave?"

When Mirai nodded, the figure's face lit up with excitement.

"Yay!"

The black cloak billowed as the figure bounced around in glee, the red clouds embroidered on the robe fluttering with each movement.

The figure's skin was pale as snow—a being invisible to the eyes of ordinary humans.

Not long after,

A sorcerer approached with a report in hand, his expression respectful. He glanced briefly at the bouncing cursed spirit next to Mirai but seemed completely unbothered. He had long since grown accustomed to such things.

"Family head."

Mirai took the report and nodded.

As he skimmed through the contents, he realized they lined up perfectly with the notes on the open page of his notebook—"Jujutsu Kaisen: 2017, The Pure Love Warrior." [T/N: Yuta Okkotsu arc.]

"Mirai, where are we going?"

"How about school?"

"School? Cursed spirits go to school now?"

Mirai chuckled. "I'll take you to Maki's school."

"What do you think, White Zetsu?"

White Zetsu blinked, surprised, then grinned. "Sounds good! It's been a while since I last saw Maki. I kinda miss her!"

...

[Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College.]

"Where is he?"

In the classroom, Maki rested her head on one hand, grumbling in irritation. "That idiot with the blindfold is so unreliable."

Sitting beside her in a white, wide-sleeved uniform, Yuta Okkotsu nodded quietly in agreement.

They were supposed to meet at eight, but it was already nine, and their teacher, Gojo Satoru, had yet to show up.

"Salmon."

Inumaki Toge, the cursed speech user, muttered in agreement.

"Don't worry, it sounds like there's something big happening today," Panda chimed in, glancing out the window before whispering to the group. "I heard some insider news. Jujutsu High is planning to open a new class."

"A new class?"

The three of them were shocked.

There weren't that many students at Jujutsu High to begin with, and Gojo was the only teacher.

Did they really need a new class?

Bang!

Before they could ask more questions, the classroom door swung open.

"Sorry, sorry."

Gojo Satoru strolled in, beaming as if he didn't have a care in the world, clearly not sorry at all.

"Gojo-sensei, is it true that the school is opening a new class?" Panda asked.

Gojo shot him a surprised look before nodding knowingly. "Ah, so you eavesdropped on the old man's phone call again?"

Panda, a mutated cursed corpse created by Yaga, often picked up on bits of insider information from their shared residence.

Seeing the curiosity in his students' eyes, Gojo paused for a moment before responding. "Yeah, that's right."

Maki's expression shifted in surprise. "So, there are new students and a new teacher?"

"Bingo."

Gojo grinned, his smile mischievous. "And the new teacher..."

"It's someone you know, Maki~"
