Chapter 17: White Zetsu’s Strange Thought Process

"Gojo..." Yaga twitched at the corner of his mouth, glancing at Gojo Satoru. "You mean to tell me you didn't know about your student's... unusual family ties?"

Compared to ten years ago, the white-banded Gojo Satoru had matured quite a bit. If this had been back in his high school days, he would've rushed over in a heartbeat to interrogate an interesting cursed spirit like White Zetsu. But now, as he watched the non-threatening antics of White Zetsu around Maki, Gojo merely smirked.

"Principal, you know how the Zen'in family operates. The relationships between the Big Three families aren't exactly transparent. And as a teacher, I don't pry into my students' private matters."

Yaga paused, contemplating the once-reckless student before him. A lot had changed.

Meanwhile, Mirai remained silent, calmly observing the Jujutsu High sorcerers before him. His sharp gaze flickered over Yaga, the serious and reliable principal; Mei Mei, a voluptuous woman exuding confidence and power in her purple uniform; and Nanami Kento, standing with perfect posture in his tailored suit, giving off a mature, trustworthy aura.

Then, Mirai's gaze landed on the man many called the strongest: Gojo Satoru. Over six feet tall, with his distinctive white hair, Gojo's carefree smile masked the immense cursed energy hidden behind his signature blindfold.

As Mirai activated his Sharingan-like cursed technique, Gojo's attention shifted toward him at the same time.

"Hey, how dare you speak to Master Geto like that?!" Nanako snapped, breaking the silence, as she pulled out her phone, preparing to attack White Zetsu.

"Hold it," Suguru Geto interrupted, raising his hand to stop her, his gaze flickering with uncertainty as he studied Mirai, seated in the back of the car.

A mysterious and troublesome figure. That was Geto's impression of Mirai.

Mirai tapped his fingers idly, and the chauffeur—previously unnoticed by most—hurriedly stepped out of the car to open the door for him.

An elite Zen'in clan sorcerer, but his demeanor was so submissive it was easy to overlook him. Despite his rank, he behaved more like a servant.

"Geto, didn't we agree that if you ever needed help, you'd come to me?" Mirai walked towards Geto with a friendly smile. "It seems like that promise from ten years ago wasn't serious after all."

"How could I?" Geto grinned, eyes narrowing as he replied, "I've been avoiding the Jujutsu High sorcerers' pursuit. I've barely even set foot in Japan these past few years. You'll have to forgive me, Zen'in Family Head."

Their conversation was surprisingly cordial, like two old friends reconnecting after a long absence.

"Hey, White Zetsu, what's going on?" Maki whispered, jabbing White Zetsu's side. "How does Mirai know that lunatic?"

"Lunatic?" White Zetsu looked at her with exaggerated surprise. "Don't tell me you actually think Mirai's a normal person?"

Maki fell silent, momentarily at a loss for words.

Just as the mood began to settle, White Zetsu smirked and yelled out, "Hey, don't just stand there! Show me what you can do, kid!"

Then, with a look of disdain, White Zetsu spat on the ground and mocked, "Blondie."

"You! You...!" Nanako trembled in anger, pointing at White Zetsu. If Geto hadn't stopped her earlier, she would have already exorcised the weak cursed spirit.

Nanako held back, but the shirtless male sorcerer standing beside her disappeared from his spot in an instant.

"You cursed spirit... you're dead!"

With his muscles bulging, the golden-haired sorcerer shot toward White Zetsu, his face twisted with rage. Being called "Blondie" by a mere Third Grade cursed spirit was an unforgivable insult.

His massive fist swung down, aiming to crush White Zetsu.

Maki's eyes widened, preparing to defend, but White Zetsu casually pulled her aside.

BANG!

A gruesome explosion of blood filled the air, crimson droplets scattering everywhere.

White Zetsu stood unharmed. In contrast, the sorcerer who had attacked him had been reduced to a puddle of blood on the ground.

White Zetsu turned to Maki, blinking innocently. "See? Didn't I tell you? Mirai's way crazier than that long-haired monk."

Maki stared blankly at him, her mind reeling, 'Wait... was this all just to prove who was more insane?'

White Zetsu's twisted logic stunned everyone once again.

Geto's outstretched hand froze mid-air, and his face visibly darkened.

Nanako and Mimiko immediately readied themselves for a fight, their bodies trembling with fear as they glanced at the blood on the ground and then at Mirai, who still wore a pleasant smile.

A First Grade sorcerer had been wiped out in an instant. And the technique... it was a space manipulation curse.

Gojo's expression turned slightly serious as well. He had caught a glimpse of the technique's mechanics—it was triggered by the sudden flash of crimson in Mirai's eyes.

An eye technique, similar to his own Six Eyes.

Interesting.

"Apologies," Mirai said casually, his smile never fading. "I took care of a disobedient subordinate for you. You don't mind, do you?"

Although his words were apologetic, the tone in his voice was clearly mocking.

"I've just been cooped up in the Zen'in family estate for too long. I forgot how things work outside. I mean, you told them not to act, but your subordinates didn't listen. What good is a dog that disobeys its master?"

As Geto remained silent, his head lowered, Mirai turned to his chauffeur. "Go ahead. Cut off your arm to show them how a proper subordinate should behave."

The Jujutsu High sorcerers were stunned.

There was no way he was serious… right?

Thud!

A severed arm dropped to the ground with a sickening thump. The chauffeur clutched the stump where his arm had been, cold sweat pouring down his face. But despite the obvious pain, he remained standing respectfully beside Mirai.

Fresh blood dripped onto the ground.

There was no trace of resentment in the driver's eyes—perhaps he didn't dare to show any.

A cool breeze swept through the courtyard, and the sight before them sent chills down the spines of everyone from Jujutsu High.
