Hesitation: Soul Suggestion?

"What do you mean it wasn't your fault?! My rage was so out of control it was bordering on bloodlust!"

"I think you're forgetting something important—I'm a Hollow. Naturally, my Reiryoku is as malevolent as I am!" Yūzui shot back, his tone laced with amusement.

I blinked. Huh. He's right.

Shaking off my daze, I refocused. "I hope all is well," my voice reverberated, warped and distorted as I soared across the battlefield. Below me, the clash between the Old Satan Faction and my allies raged on, bodies colliding, magic tearing through the air.

I had used a technique I created—a little something I called Soul Suggestion. It wasn't just persuasion; it was influence on a fundamental level, designed to seep into the subconscious and take root both psychologically and spiritually.

I tried using it on Natsumi once. Yeah… that didn't end well. Turns out she was too spiritually strong, and let's just say my cheek paid the price. Even now, I rubbed at the phantom pain absentmindedly.

I wasn't sure if it worked on Grayfia, but it was worth a shot. She would join our side eventually—I was just encouraging her to do it sooner, before she suffered heavy losses.

I know, I know. Manipulation. But I wasn't some self-righteous hypocrite. I had no ulterior motive. I just wanted to steer her back onto the right path before it was too late.

That's all.

Not at all.

Shoving that thought aside, I scanned the battlefield, searching for Natsumi. I frowned when I didn't spot her anywhere near the fight, my senses immediately spreading out in alert.

I exhaled in relief when I finally pinpointed her location. She was with the commanders, overseeing the battle and issuing orders.

I adjusted my trajectory and shot toward them, stopping right in front of Sirzechs.

"What's the situation?" I asked calmly, my gaze settling on Sirzechs as he turned toward me, nodding in approval.

"While you were gone, this woman here has caused quite a bit of destruction," the red-haired Devil replied, his tone flat but laced with intrigue. "I must admit, the sheer power she's displayed is… impressive."

I glanced at Natsumi, who remained stoic beside me, then crossed my arms over my chest. "I see. We were using this opportunity to gauge whether we can actually survive in this war."

Sirzechs arched a brow, his curiosity piqued. "And? What did you conclude? Can you survive?"

A mischievous smirk tugged at my lips. "Survive? We can practically thrive here."

Natsumi gave a curt nod, silently affirming my words. When we first entered this war, we had anticipated overwhelming difficulty, but in reality, there weren't many Ultimate-class powerhouses on the battlefield. The war was harsh, yes, but not beyond our capabilities.

"So," I shifted my focus, "when do you plan to strike against the leaders of the Old Satan Faction?"

According to canon, six months after the future Satans entered the war, they swiftly eliminated the descendants of the Original Satans. If things followed a similar pattern, that moment wasn't far off.

Sirzechs' expression darkened slightly. "We don't know yet. We underestimated them. The descendants of the Original Satans are stronger than anticipated, and now they've become cautious."

I frowned. The butterfly effect was making itself known.

The war had started a century later than it was supposed to—delayed because the Great War itself had lasted longer than in canon. That meant Sirzechs, Serafall, and their entire generation had been born a hundred years later than they were supposed to. That shift alone had altered the power dynamics considerably.

Our adversaries were stronger than before.

But they had yet to meet a Hollow-Human Hybrid.

A Vizard.

Let me know if you want any tweaks!

"Then I guess this battle is over. Their side has suffered heavy casualties," I remarked, watching as the Old Satan Faction forces fled the battlefield. A few of our own pursued them relentlessly, unwilling to let their enemies escape unscathed.

"So it seems," Sirzechs replied, but there was a note of caution in his voice.

I frowned. That tone... Could this be a trap?

"Order those soldiers to fall back, Commander Sirzechs," Natsumi suddenly spoke up, her voice laced with urgency. A bad feeling had taken root in her gut.

Before long, spells rained down upon our army, their sheer volume overwhelming. A sense of dread spread across the battlefield as soldiers scrambled, some raising barriers, others trying to escape.

For a split second, I hesitated.

Should I intervene? Or should I let them handle it?

The attack was heading our way too, but the commanders would likely deal with it. They should be capable enough—

Wait.

A chilling thought struck me.

There could be important figures among that troupe. People who couldn't afford to be lost.

I couldn't hesitate.

Without wasting another second, I activated Sonidō, vanishing in an instant as I donned my Hollow mask. My hand instinctively gripped the hilt of my Zanpakutō, still in its sealed state.

I reappeared in the middle of the embattled group, chanting a spell as a blood-red magic circle materialized above us. It absorbed the full brunt of the onslaught, but cracks were already forming, spreading like fractures on glass.

"Looks like I have no choice," I muttered, preparing a Kidō spell to reinforce the barrier.

The battle wasn't over just yet.

"Bakudō #81: Dankū!"

A translucent, rectangular barrier formed instantly in front of us, standing tall like an unbreakable wall. Unlike typical defensive spells, Dankū wasn't a dome or a sphere—it was a singular plane of energy, designed to completely negate incoming attacks.

The moment the enemy spells collided with it, a violent shockwave erupted, but the barrier remained intact. However, I could feel the strain. Danku was powerful, but against such a concentrated assault, even it wouldn't last forever.

I instinctively drew in the surrounding Reishi, reinforcing the barrier's structure beyond its natural limits.

That's right—I can wield Shinigami techniques, and thanks to my training, even a pseudo-version of Quincy techniques. My Kidō spells? More potent than they had any right to be. A High-Class individual displaying the strength of a Satan-Class? Most wouldn't believe it.

All I had to do was manipulate Reishi in the atmosphere, though it was quite hard. That's why I was training Qi Control. It was also to learn how to control every energy type similarily.

I won't call myself a Quincy, but my Qi manipulation training was far from useless.

The moment the barrage subsided, I didn't waste time.

"Teleport! Now!"

There was no room for debate. In an instant, we vanished, retreating to our side of the battlefield.

I exhaled sharply, shaking off the tension that clung to my limbs. "Phew..." That had been too close for comfort.

I hadn't wanted to reveal this much of my abilities, but those devils had thrown everything they had to wipe out our troops. I had no choice.

I turned toward the group I had saved, my gaze naturally drawn to one individual who stood out the most.

She had sharp, beige hair that spiked wildly in every direction, and piercing purple eyes that burned with intensity.

"Everyone okay?" I asked, scanning them for injuries.

Happy Reading Everybody

I know there is a lot to explain, but if you didn't understand where the Quincy aspect is coming from, then let me.

Hisashi can directly manipulate Reishi and use it like Reiryoku (Internally that is), however, he does not know any Quincy Technique.

Why does that sound familiar? Like a certain orange haired, delinquent looking Shinigami.

Anyways, I am surprised you reached 9 Powerstones. You guys deserve a reward.

I will provide an extra chapter two days from now. Sunday in other words. It would be an extra as appreciation. Try harder next time as this is a one time thing.

Now, what worlds do you want this story explore. Any world you suggest will be intergrated into this one so long as the plot does not clash with this one. I can even rewatch your recommendations now, I have plenty of time.

If it is related to school life, it would make his interactions in the future interesting.

Dear Author thanks you for your time and dedication.

Curious to know what Hisashi looks like? I will provide an image in the Extra Chapter.
