The scene that greeted me was a white ceiling. The silence was deafening. It seemed like I was in a hospital. 


I closed my eyes as I felt the pain in my body. I let out a deep breath. I quickly recalled the events before ending up here. 


"You're awake..." I turned towards the couch on the side and saw Elliott. His face bore a deep sadness, as if he had been crying. 


"What happened?" I hesitantly asked. He remained silent, gazing at me. It seemed like he was contemplating whether to tell me the truth or not. 


Five quiet minutes passed with Elliott not saying a word. I wanted to know more about what happened when he suddenly approached me. Before I could speak, he embraced me tightly. Then, he began sobbing on my shoulders. 


I felt a surge of strength leave me. Even my breathing became irregular. "What? Why? How?" 


"He died trying to save you and Estella." 


Elliott's words chilled me. Uncle Renato is gone? "He saved me?"
