Guests of the Randells Part 1

“And how is he suddenly a member of the third tower,” Sylvia asked.

Xander proceeded to narrate Aldin’s life at the academy and even outside the academy and the couple found everything hard to believe after all he was just a twelve year old boy.

“I know how crazy this sounds but it is all true, when he gets here you can ask him but you should know he will look a little different ,” Xander said.

“What do you mean?” Mr Randell asked.

“Your son practised a body refining technique and the technique caused some very visible changes in him,” Xander said.

“Is he alright?” Sylvia asked worried.

“Yes, he actually seems to be well-suited for the technique,” Xander said gladly.

“Is it the same one that was banned years ago?” Mr Randell asked.

“Not banned per se, but it was disadvised and all evidence of it was wiped away but when Aldin got his hands on it he made wonders of it, he is very strong right now and in the fourth tier,” Xander said sending the Randell couple into a mini state of shock.

“Are you sure?” The couple asked a final time and Xander gave them an affirmation.

“Come to think of it Aldin always was able to do things that seemed impossible, he and Darvin were always shocking us,” Sylvia said

“By any chance, do you have any information on Darvin, he was friends with Aldin,” Mr Randell asked.

“Yes, he is currently the disciple of the sixth tower,” Xander said.

“That is great news to hear, Vera should really hear this,” Sylvia said and with a wave of her hand a message appeared to Vera who was in the house next door.

“You should also know that Aldin awakened a fourth attribute,” Xander said and the Randell couple turned to look at Xander like a madman.

Vera burst into the door seconds later.

“This is Vera Talor, our neighbour and mother to Darvin,” Sylvia said to Xander.

“Nice to meet you, my name is Xander Storm, master of the third magic tower,” Xander siad.

Vera froze and the Randells took this chance to excuse themselves.

“Have a chat with his as we got make some tea for all of you,” Sylvia said and before she could even get up, a man came rushing in with his top shirt button undone. He quickly buttoned up under the gaze of everyone in the room.

“And this is Alfred,” Lark said and he and his wife left the room and went to the kitchen.

“Nice to meet you, what brings you to this city, I dont think i have seen you in town,” Alfred said walking to greet Xander trying to ignore what had just happened.

“I am new here, i just got here, I am Aldin Randell’s master, i came here to set up a surprise for his birthday tomorrow,”Xander said.

“I thought the kid went to the Lorne academy, isn’t he supposed to still be in the academy,” Alfred asked.

“Well yes, but he was so talented that he was allowed to graduate early,”

“And what about Darvin?” Alfred asked.

“He is in the sixth tower, under the tower master,” Xander said and immediately Alfred stiffened up, into a state similar to Vera, he stood back up in silence.

Meanwhile in the kitchen as Sylvia was making tea, she was also having a conversation with Lark.

“He did not notice anything, and he is here because of Aldin we dont have to worry,” Lark said.

“But we have to be careful,” Sylvia said.

“You have a point, but not too much or he’ll notice,”Lark said.

“What makes you so sure,” Sylvia said curious why not to take too much caution.

“Because don’t forget he was my best friend and I know him better than you might think,” Lark said and moments later they were out with the tea.

“Here’s the tea,” Sylvia announce before walking out with the tea, but when she got in she found the room dead silent and could feel the tension in the air, she wanted to walk back into the kitchen and not come out but Lark who was behind her pushed her forward.

They noticed the tea and the two sat down ready to have their tea when a knock was heard at their door.

Leon walked in with and outside were men carrying boxes.

“Everything is ready,” Leon said while looking at the frozen soldiers and count in the room.

The two who had walked in before him were too tensed to notice.

“Dont worry about those, we will deal with them later. Get everything in here and start prepping, we need to be ready befor he gets here,” Xander said.

Vera was shocked to see the principal of the magic academy but to a lesser extent as to when she met Xander.

“Why don't you have tea first,” Lark said grabbing Leon’s attention. He looked at the man with the gall to interrupt a tower master so boldly realising it was Aldin’s father and got over it, Aldin had been the same despite knowing who a tower master was.

“Do have some tea,” Xander added as Sylvia poured them tea.

As they had their tea , the knight carrying ALdin walked in.

The Randell couple saw him being carried in but were shocked, he did not look at all slightly similar to how he did a year ago, Xander noticed the confusion as Aldin walked in.

“ And i forgot to mention, due to Aldin’s practice of the boy refinement techniques and two advancements, he looks different than he did a year ago,” Xander said.

“And what about Darvin?” Vera chimed in.

“ The last time i saw him, he was in the third tier and he too practised the body refinement technique, so he will look different as well the next time you see him,” Leon said dropping a bomb shell.

“That looks like Aldin, but is it really him?” Lark asked.

“I don’t know any other quadra attributed mage,” Xander said.

Everyone in the room was shocked , even the knight.

“What do you mean quadra attributed?” Sylvia asked as Lark was too shocked to ask.

“During a failed coup of the third tower Aldin had his second awakening,”Xander said nonchalantly.

“And what attribute was it?” Lark asked.

“Fire,” Xander said almost proud.

Lark jumped up and cheered, he was proud of Aldin.

Sylvia directed the knight to take Aldin to bed as Lark kept on celebrating.

They placed Aldin in bed.

As they Randells were receiving guests the fourth tower had gotten information of the mage who had gotten into the Randell’s residence, the report got to the tower master who was relaxing on the roof.

“Thank you for inforiming me,” Alastor said taking a sip of his tea before he flew away and moments later he was at the Randell’s residence, when he got to the door he was met by a beautiful woman with two other men behind her and the three students of Aldin.

“Long time since we met Alastor,” the lady said smiling before she walked into the building followed by those behind her.

While in the house Xander turned as the door opened, despite his joyful mood he went silent. Sylvia and the knight who were coming down the stairs saw Xander standing stiff but walked over to the others.

Dark Owl and her guest walked in, Xander saw Isabella, Mars and Zack walking in, they looked excited and confused at the same time.

When they saw Xander they weren’t sure how to react and looked to their respective new guardians, Isabella the dark owl and the two brothers a man each.

They received knods from them.

The three then ran over the Xander.

“Where is Aldin?” all of them asked simultaneously.

“He is resting when he wakes up you can meet him,” Xander said and at that moment Alastor arrived.

He walked in and stood there shocked.

“And who are this?” Lark asked, still excited.

“I am Alastor, master of the fourth magic tower,” Alastor said introducing himself.

“I am Strix, a friend of Aldin’s,” the black owl, darkness beast introduced itself.

“I am Elio, also a friend of Strix,” the second sun beast said.

“I am Ursus, also a friend of Strix,” the earth beast said.

The three kids then introduced themselves.

And as if on cue, Aldin came down the stairs that very moment drawing all eyes on him.

The three kids rushed to him but before they could get to him ‘Strix was already there with the two other men.

“Happy birthday Aldin,” Strix said and handed him a small box.” This is a gift from all of us,”

“Thank you,” Aldin said getting the gift in his hand and opening.

‘These two are Elio and Ursue,’ Strix said and Aldin looked up to find her smiling at him.

“Open it, I am sure you will love it,” Strix said.

Aldin opened it and found a white ring, it was smoooth and had wave like patterns engraved on it, a contrast to the black scaley ring in his hand.

Aldin was silent as he wore it, it resonated with him. He looked at it for a couple of seconds admiring it’s beauty. He looked up at Isabella with glee in his face.

Strix was looking at Aldin as he wore the ring and more so at the black scallly ring on his finger.

“Thank you very much,” Aldin said.

“You are welcome,” Strix said raising her hand and and touching Aldin’s face.

‘Oh how I wish you were of the darkness element then I would have just snatched you up.

Xander watched this, and he assumed that Strix and Aldin were related.
