Just two bros sleeping together

"Hey, wake up..." Raphael said as he patted the sleeping blonde's face. It seemed Elias had dozed off while he was getting the fruits.

"Elias... come on, wake up. You know you need to eat, darling." He continued poking his cheek, trying to rouse him.

After several more attempts—and a threat to sprinkle water on him if he didn't wake up soon—Elias finally stirred.

Seeing that he was awake, Raphael helped him sit up before settling down himself, holding out a bowl of grapes. "Here's your food, Your Majesty. The porridge is coming soon—a few measly grapes aren't going to cut it."

Elias, upon hearing the comment, pouted, not appreciating the teasing. He wasn't really feeling like eating anything, but he needed to have something in his stomach before taking the medicine. He glared at the lawyer as he gently grabbed the bowl from his hands, mumbling under his breath, "Fine… I'll eat. But after this, I'm going to sleep, and you're not going to bother me."

Raphael chuckled at Elias' begrudging acceptance. He knew the other wouldn't be unnecessarily stubborn over something so trivial.

Elias ate a few grapes, letting out a contented sigh—they were very sweet.

Raphael simply watched him, warmth blooming in his chest at the sight of Elias comfortable, happy, and safe. It filled him with a sense of… accomplishment, in a way nothing else ever had. Lost in thought, he didn't realize he was staring until he met Elias' curious gaze.

Oblivious to Raphael's thoughts, Elias assumed he was staring because he wanted some grapes. A sudden wave of embarrassment hit him- oh god, he hadn't even offered Raphael any! Hastily, he pushed the bowl toward him, his voice almost meek.

"Do you want some?"

Raphael blinked, surprised by the sudden action. But when he noticed the faint flush on Elias' face, it wasn't hard to guess what the other was thinking. He shook his head, an amused smile tugging at his lips.

"No, no. You eat. I'm full just watching you eat."

Elias continued to insist, "No, take some. I insist."

Another amused snort escaped Raphael. The expression on Elias' face was just too adorable—he couldn't help but want to tease him further.

"Hm… don't want to," he shrugged. "If you really, really want me to have some, you'll have to feed me~"

He even closed his eyes and opened his mouth playfully, expecting Elias to either swat him away or grumble a snarky remark, so when he actually felt the cool sensation of a grape pressing against his lips, he was caught off guard.

For a moment, he could only open his eyes and stare at the flustered doctor, who held a single grape between his elegant, slender fingers. The same fingers that had saved countless lives were now holding a grape to his mouth.

"Eat it!" Elias grumbled when Raphael just stared at his hand, stunned. Damn it, he was already embarrassed enough—why wasn't Raphael just eating it?

That snapped Raphael out of his daze. Deliberately, he moved slowly, taking the grape between his teeth. He chewed thoughtfully, then, as if on impulse, pressed a kiss against Elias' hand. A smirk played on his lips as he murmured,

"Mhm. It's very sweet, but—" his gaze locked onto Elias' pale blue eyes as he trailed open-mouthed kisses along his fingers. Elias just sat there, frozen, unable to pull his hand away.

"—You're sweeter~"

Elias' mind short-circuited. Damn it, damn it, damn it!

"You… you!" Flustered beyond belief, he shoved the bowl at Raphael and grabbed the porridge, which had arrived at some point, instead. "Eat the rest yourself. Ugh."

Raphael simply shrugged, wisely choosing not to irritate the blonde further. They sat in silence for a while as Elias finished his porridge.

"You're done? There's more if you want it." Raphael asked as Elias handed the empty bowl back to him and shook his head in response.

In return, Raphael passed him his pills and a glass of water. "Here. Take these quickly, and then you can rest."

"Mhm…" Elias hummed, swallowing the pills with warm water. They were simple—just a painkiller and an antibiotic for his wounds.

As he took small sips, he noticed Raphael getting up with the tray. He instinctively called out, without thinking much, "Where are you going…?"

"Hm? I'm putting away the dishes."

"Oh…" Elias nodded, suddenly feeling a little stupid for asking such an obvious question. He scratched the back of his neck sheepishly before blurting out, "But—you're coming back, right? I—"

He stopped himself just in time. He couldn't say that he didn't want Raphael to leave.

Quickly, he corrected himself, "I...I mean, you just got discharged. You need to rest too. So come back quickly. And—you have to rest here. Don't give me some bullshit about sleeping on the couch or something." he grumbled, still trying to pretend that his concern was purely for Raphael's health and had nothing to do with wanting him nearby.

"The couch- it's not comfortable. This is your bed. You're going to sleep here with me. Okay?"

Raphael raised an eyebrow but, in the end, just nodded. "Fine. I'll rest here."

Elias watched him leave the room, his eyelids already growing heavy as the painkillers began to take effect. He remained propped against the headboard, but with every passing moment, he felt himself drifting.

When Raphael returned, Elias drowsily scooted sideways, unwrapping his blanket just enough to make space. He yawned before murmuring, "Come on…"

Raphael couldn't help but smile at the sight. Elias was adorable when he was sleepy.

Lying down beside him, Raphael pulled Elias close, wrapping his arms securely around him. He gently ran his fingers through the blonde's hair as he whispered in a soothing, almost lullaby-like tone,

"Alright, alright. I'm right here. You can sleep now."

He pressed a soft kiss to Elias' forehead.

"I'll be here when you wake up."
