Kealos.
I felt a slight frustration that everyone was warning me about her. I want her to be mine alone, and I am stopping at nothing unless she's mine.
I turned to look at the young man beside me. "Are you sure about what you are saying?"
"I'm more than certain; everyone knows that she's cursed, and she would rather do nothing than harm you and your next generation to come."
I let out a sigh, faked a smile, and just nodded. "Thanks for the advice; I'll reconsider it."
He stood up to leave, but when he was about to leave, he stopped to look at me for a moment before he said, "I am Rygral, by the way, in case you might have forgotten all the memories we had once shared as brothers."
I just smiled. Then he left, and I was left wondering why everyone hated Lyraea despite the fact no one knew much about her.
'Are you sure no one does?' my wolf had asked. I kept quiet; not a word was said again. I stayed in the garden for God knows how long. Many thoughts of Lyraea came to me. I miss her already. I recalled the day I was inside the pack house while she was taking a shower. I thought she had yet to undress, so I went to give her a bar of soap because she had forgotten to carry one. Without telling her, I opened the bathroom door, only to find her naked. She had tried her best to cover herself, but it only proved abortive.
"Please leave." She yelled. I scurried out of the bathroom, but the way my eyes gazed upon her sexy body and the way her luscious curves made me want to dig so deep inside of her.
"Kealos, Kealos, why are you smiling on your own?" Aurora, who had been standing for quite some time now, turned to look at me; her gaze was so intense that she stared at me for a moment. I almost rained curses on her for distracting me, but I withheld myself.
"Yes... what is it?" I asked, looking unperturbed. I noticed a savant was standing by the door.
"Go get me a drink, red wine specifically." The savant left while Aurora was still standing beside me.
"Don't tell me that you are still thinking about that cursed woman." She pursed, taking a deep breath. She sat close to me and made attempts to intertwine her hand with mine, but I pulled it back. "Kealos, this is not how you were before you left; you know very well we had shared so many moments, full of love, care, and romance, but now it's like a different person."
I raised an eyebrow. "I am still yet to recall what transpired between us, so until then, please try to keep a safe distance from me."
"Kealos." She breathed out.
"Now that's enough, son. Talk to your wife with a little bit of regard; she's currently having your baby, for Christ's sake; don't put too much pressure on her, or she might lose the baby."
I was silent for a moment. I was trying to calm my nerves. It dawned on me that I was going too far with this, but I couldn't help it; seeing her irritates me. Unlike when I'm with Lyraea, I feel something like I have never felt before; the feeling is almost unreal. I stood up, and it was then I realized I needed some alone time.
I didn't bother with what my father had said as I started walking away: "Dad, please, he's hurting me." Aurora cried.
I continued walking, but King Abdul stopped me by holding my wrist. He made me look at him and say, "I have tried to be gentle with you because you are yet to recall everything, but now that I have had enough of this melodrama, I want you to go back to your wife and give her some attention."
I raised an eyebrow while looking at him. "Is that a command or a request?"
"It's a command, young man."
I scoffed. "You don't tell me what to do with my relationship life, sir," I said back, showing my anger through my choice of words. I walked out of the palace and out of the gates. I was met with tall shrubs and canopied trees; the urge to transform was far more intense; my Lycan side was taking charge. I fell to the ground, bones cracking and skin stretching as I went down on all fours, transforming into the creature that the humans would call a beast.
I started running through the open fields, feeling the nostalgic feeling of running through the woods. It felt good to be out there; I loved the feeling. Then suddenly, I heard a footstep behind me, and then it turned to footsteps. I darted my eyes around to see who it was. I was shocked when I realized that I was surrounded the moment; there were so many wolves.
Many wolves approached me, and when I saw one of the brooding wolves, who was far larger than the other wolves, he snarled at me. I didn't feel intimidated; I was trying to calm my nerves, especially when I realized that it was not a rogue wolf but rather an Alpha leading his subjects.
I smiled because it's been long. I have stretched my muscles a bit; the thirst to kill was irking me.
"Don't make the mistake of trying to fight me, because you will lose the game," I said.
One of them transformed into a man; he had a smile on his face, and then he swiftly rushed in lightning speed and maneuvered behind me as he dug his hand into my muscle and right to my spinal cord. His actions were so swift, it was almost undetectable. I groaned; my heart was beating so fast, and I felt the pain I never thought still existed. I let out a groan.
He was about to pull out, only to feel other Lycans had surrounded and managed to rescue me before it went out of control.
I fell to the ground with a loud thud. I saw Rygral come to me as he wrapped his hands around me. "Brother... brother." That was the last thing I heard before I blacked out.
