Everyone started at level 1, in the same cultivation realm, and with the same attributes: 1 in all of them.

But Bai Yunfei had already changed that by adding +1 to his Spirit attribute, which was significant. He could already feel the difference.

His Qi pool was larger, his Qi regeneration faster, and Bai Yunfei was certain that any techniques utilizing Qi would be stronger as well! The only issue was that he hadn't learned any techniques yet, but that would change in the future, he was sure of it.

Content with his progress, Bai Yunfei settled back into his makeshift tent, the gentle hum of energy within him lulling him to sleep.

The night was peaceful, save for the occasional rustle of leaves or the distant call of a night creature. Once, a particularly loud snap of a twig startled him awake, but after a moment of listening to the silence, he dismissed it and returned to sleep.

The first rays of dawn filtering through the trees woke him. Stretching his limbs, Bai Yunfei emerged from his tent, feeling refreshed and invigorated.

He made his way to the nearby river, cupping his hands to drink the cool, clear water. He splashed his face, the chill invigorating him further.

After relieving himself in the woods, Bai Yunfei turned his attention to the most pressing need of the day: food. He had no supplies, and his stomach was already rumbling in protest.

Remembering the abundance of wildlife he'd seen the day before, Bai Yunfei set off into the forest, his senses heightened by his increased Spirit attribute. He moved quietly, his eyes scanning the undergrowth for any sign of movement.

It wasn't long before he spotted a small, brown rabbit nibbling on some leaves. It was a timid creature, easily startled, but it would provide a decent meal.

Bai Yunfei crouched low, moving closer with the stealth of a predator. He spotted a sturdy branch lying on the ground, its tip sharpened to a point by natural wear and tear. It would serve as a makeshift spear.

He picked up the branch, testing its weight and balance in his hand. Taking a deep breath, he took aim and hurled the spear with all his might.

The rabbit, startled by the sudden movement, tried to flee but was too slow. The spear pierced its side, pinning it to the ground.

Bai Yunfei approached cautiously, ensuring the creature was truly dead before picking it up. A pang of guilt flickered through him, but he quickly pushed it aside. Survival was paramount in this world, and he couldn't afford sentimentality.

He returned to his base, the rabbit dangling from his hand. His first task was to create a tool to process his kill. He searched the riverbank, finding a suitable rock with a sharp edge. Using another rock as a hammer, he carefully chipped away at the edge, creating a crude but effective knife.

With the knife in hand, Bai Yunfei set about cleaning and skinning the rabbit. The process was messy, but he was meticulous, ensuring no part of the animal went to waste.

Once the rabbit was prepared, he gathered some dry wood and kindling, arranging them in a small fire pit. Using a technique he'd learned long ago, he focused his Qi, channeling a spark of energy into the kindling. The wood caught fire instantly, flames licking at the dry branches.

Bai Yunfei skewered the rabbit meat on a sharpened stick and held it over the fire, the smell of roasting meat filling the air. As he waited for the meat to cook, Bai Yunfei's thoughts drifted back to his past life.

He had lived for centuries, experiencing countless adventures and challenges. Yet, this simple act of hunting and preparing his own food felt strangely fulfilling, grounding him in the present moment.

Finally, the meat was cooked. Bai Yunfei took a bite, savoring the smoky flavor. It wasn't the most elegant meal he'd ever had, but it was satisfying, nourishing his body and spirit.

As he ate, he watched the flames dance, the crackling of the fire a comforting sound in the otherwise quiet forest.

The more time he spent in this world, the more certain Bai Yunfei became that it wasn't a mere game, as Yu Yan had suggested. No, that wasn't possible.

Everything around him mirrored his old world—which wasn't much different from the other planets cultivators inhabited—and the need for sleep, food, water, and all the rest convinced him this was no game.

'Could this game actually teleport our minds and spirits to another body on a different planet? I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case... it could explain the difference in time between the game and real life...' Bai Yunfei pondered.

These were just guesses, after all. He was merely trusting his instincts that something was amiss about the game, but for him, it didn't matter much. He could finally feel like a cultivator again, and even if it were all "fake," it was still meaningful to him.

After eating, Bai Yunfei returned to his cultivation practices. He focused solely on his main cultivation technique, ignoring all others. His plan was to open as many meridians as possible.

The process began anew. It was as if the external world vanished from his perception, and he barely heard anything happening around him.

That didn't mean he wasn't paying attention using his Qi. If anyone approached him—assuming they possessed similar power—he would notice.

No one did. He continued his meditation for hours, and by nightfall, he had opened yet another meridian! This one was different from the previous one.

+1 Strength

It granted him a point in Strength. Bai Yunfei felt a surge of power coursing through his body.

'I feel like I can crush a rock with my bare hands!' thought Bai Yunfei as he clenched his fists.
